This was perhaps the best hotel we stayed at during four weeks in France. The hotel was a great value for the price, and the proprietor was gracious, accomodating, and very pleasant. We rented bicycles from the proprietor, good equipment and he helped us plan our route.

Great location with lots of free parking close by. Easy access to roads leaving the city and just a short walk to the city center. A few decently priced restaurants close by. The room was small but tastefully furnished, scrupulously clean and with lots of storage space. Staff was pleasant and accommodating and the buffet breakfast was good value for money in expensive France.

We stayed one night. For the price we paid, I'd say it's a good deal. The city center is quite small, so everything is very nearby and it's quiet at night. Staff is great - very helpful and friendly. However, I must say the room was quite small. For one night, it's fine, bu perhps for several nights, I would have paid more for more space. The shower wasn't in an excellent condition either.

We did not mind paying for internet which was frustratingly too slow. Buying the WiFi usage was no help as well. Money wasted.

You can book a rental car to pick up from the train station if required rather than travelling across Arles to pick one up. Hotel is easy walk from the station and on the bank of the river right in the old part of Arles. Lovely place, and Arles is central to many great day trips - Les Baux, Pont du Gard, Saint Maries de la mer...

Our very best stay during the entire 3 week trip in Europe. And the cheapest as well. Very nicely located near the river and the arena. Nice restaurant nearby called Dolce Vita. Parking was easy. Will return anytime. Only breakfast was a bit disappointing.

Hotel Le Regence was the best two star hotel we used in France. It is an older building that has been renovated, and has card entry and a safe in the rooms. The staff were more than helpful, and it is a short 10 minute walk from the station. Arles is a wonderful place to visit, and this hotel was a very competitive price. We recommend it highly to any travellers.

Great hotel, fantastic price!! Easy to find, close to railway station and the old town centre. The owner/manager was very helpful and friendly. Bright cheery rooms with view over river. Would recommend hotel and Arles as a great place to visit. Breakfast for an extra 5 euro was good value for money.

We had a wonderful time and the hotel was certainly one of the reasons. Staff was helpful, it was a good location, and everything they said (price, pictures, size, etc.) on the internet was accurate. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone.

Very good reception. The gentleman working gave us a good map with some recommendations marked, and was very friendly. The view out our window of the river was absolutely gorgeous at sunset. Small room, but very clean and bright, and nicely decorated. Looked like it had a fresh coat of paint and new bedding. Arles was great, there was a terrific restaurant about 5 minutes away near the amphitheater that we went to both nights, and there was a pharmacy /grocery near the hotel for a few toiletries that came up, and it had some packaged snacks and drinks too, which came in handy.

We had planned to stay one night but on seeing our room decided to stay an extra night. Our room at the side of the hotel had a view of the river and also of the old city wall. The location was excellent and Arles is a good touring centre for seeing the area. Our host was friendly and helpful and provided an excellent breakfast in a lovely room. There was free public parking behind the hotel and an excellent Greco/Turkish restaurant around the corner where the owner serenaded us on his balalaika! We would definitely stay here again.

The location of Le Regence is perfectly situated on a bend in the Rhone River with views up and down of tour boats and barges. It's a short walk from the train/bus station just inside the wall of the old city -- a good leg stretch after the trip and no exhorbitant taxi fare. The hotel is exceptionally clean; our charming but small room had a modern en suite and comfortable bed. Housekeeping and front desk service was very good; continental breakfast was adequate (fresh fruit would have been nice). The hotel is within easy walking distance of Roman ruins, restaurants and a large grocery store.

Eric, at the front desk was very nice, friendly and helpful. The breakfast cost extra but was a good value with adequate choices in a nice bright breakfast room. Our room was very clean and attractive and had comfortable beds. We had a lovely view of the River Rhone. The location is wonderful since it's only 5-10 minute walk from the train/bus station, and a close walk to all of the sites.

This was the best value of all the hotels we stayed in Europe (55 euros triple room). Location was great just inside the walls of the medieval city in Arles. Minutes walk from all the sites of interest. Free parking was available near by. The room was clean and very adequate. Staff friendly, helpful and speak english. The colourful market on Wednesdays offering all kinds of goods from provence just outside the hotel was a big bonus.

This hotel was very central, close to tourist sights, restaurants and railway station. We had a wonderful view over the Rhone. Our room was small but comfortable. We chose the hotel because it was non-smoking, thought it was excellent value for money and would definitely stay there again.

Very welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff; excellent continental breakfast. Location of hotel was great - close enought to all the major sites (about 5-10 minute walk), yet far enough away from the action to be quiet and peaceful. Convenient (free) parking on nearby street along the Rhone. Wouldn't hesitate to return. Really enjoyed Arles and vicinity (30 minutes to Avignon and 20 minutes to Les Baux) - our stay at the Regence helped to make it a great visit!

The owner was very nice and helpful. Our room was small, I mean really small, and the view to the parking area was not nice!!!!!!!!!! There was no soundproof at the hotel, when somebody was speaking in our neighbour room, it sounded like he had been speaking in our room. That wasn´t nice, especially when it happened at night! But our stay was still ok for the price.

We visited Arles to see the Roman history and required a hotel that was situated within the town and walking distance to the relevant sites. We also wanted good value for money, because we were on a budget. The Regence Hotel met all of our requirements and more. We originally booked room only but, changed this to include breakfast, which was also good value for money. If I return to Arles then I would definately stay at the Regence Hotel again.

We got a great bath room - clean and spacious. Really lucky. Price is unbeatable. The receptionist was not very friendly -- must not be the nice owner couple that every body was raving about. NEvertheless, it is a great value for the price, therefore no complaint.

Le Regence is by far one of the best hotels I've stayed in - out of many trips to Europe. The room was great - exceptionally clean and well maintained. And the owners are the nicest people you'll encounter in all of Arles, I'm sure! They're very friendly and helpful. Overall, an excellent little hotel, run by fabulous people. :)
