Hotel Le Dauphin - Arcachon

Nice old house but many steps. Friendly personell, fast internet access but room far too small. Overall price too high.

The building and location were nice, but the room was a bit bare with no carpets, for example. The kids had a bunk bed which they enjoyed! The hotel is about a 10 min walk from Arcachon centre and the beach.

Lovely hotel, the receptionists were exceptionally welcoming, helpful and friendly, couldn't fault them. A bar in the hotel would be a bonus and the rooms are not very spacious.

Broken toilet seat on arrival was the only complaint. Rooms are small, but comfortable and well appointed. Good facilities and pleasant breakfast.

The twin bedded room was so small, you could barely get round the beds. The bathroom also ws tiny and I banged my head on the towel rail when i got up from the loo.

3 nights stay at this hotel, as part of a golfing holiday for 8 people. Would recommend Arcachon, clean tidy and plenty to do, lot of places to eat and drink.

Cheap and cheerful, but one night is enough. Needs a make over. Breakfast was a rip off and bad, avoid it at any cost.

I think that in France or England the prices of accomodation are excesively high. Le Dauphin is good but I think they must include breakfast

We would have given this hotel top rating as it was aesthetically very nice, location was good for the beach and restaurants, bars,etc. Essentially there was nothing wrong (breakfast wasn't great!) bar the small double rooms but in comparison to larger hotels the price/performance ratio wasn't great = should really have been cheaper!
