The staff at Hotel Federico II was extremely helpful no matter what we needed! It was a pleasure to stay there and very convenient. The hotel restaurant is also excellent. We will certainly return to this hotel each year when we visit the area. I highly recommend Hotel Federico II in beautiful L'Aquila. (L'Aquila is an easy bus ride from Rome (Tiburtina Station)- only a little over an hour and a pleasant ride!)

This hotel served our purpose nicely. The rooms were clean and spacious. The restaurant had an amazing shrimp risotto. It lacked the character other hotels had being a modern facility, but I would stay there again.

the hotel is close to the cuty center but one problem is the steep hill you must go by foot in order to do so.
