Hostellerie Du Cheval Blanc - Aosta

This is a very nice hotel if you like modern and better than average. Very clean and comfortable, and a good choice for everyone and anyone of all ages etc. A 15 minute flat walk into the "old town square" and ditto for cable car for skiers in winter.

Excellent hotel with large and comforable rooms.Competent and friendly staff. Well equipped, good breakfast (included), 10 minutes walk to the olda town of Aosta.

A very well appointed room. Unfortunately both dining rooms were taken by large parties resulting in poor dinner service for other paying guests who had to be squeezed in.

The staff are very pleasant and helpful, the food in the restaurant is good, but the atmosphere is more like a canteen.

Very convenient and comfortable. Close to centre of Aosta, and ideal for visiting Matterhorn and Mont Blanc.

Railroad is just behind the hotel but trains are only few (or no trains at all) during the night. Garage is free. Breakfast is nothing special but ok

Although the building was good, nothing worked in the bathroom (shower water was either burning or stone cold, toilet cistern had to be manually pulled after use as it did not stop, tap on the washbasin leaked and wetted the whold of the top), the drink cabinet in the room did not work, despite our complaining every day, the swimming pool was far too hot, most of the apparatus in the gym were broken, there was no menu in the restaurant, the waiter was most unhelpful. The receptionist lied to us and told us the building site touching the hotel was totally stopped and in fact the workers started at 7.00 am. I would never go there again, nor recommend it.

Superb hotel, new spacious and very clean. In addition small dogs accepted. Staff very helpful. Surroundings not the best, not easy to find. Should make some efforts in the are of the restaurant in employing people having some basics.

If you want to be an internationally booked hotel your employees need to have better knowledge in languages. Even though we both speak a bit french and even a few words italian it has sometimes been problematic to correspond.

This was the best value possible for a 4-star hotel. Beautiful, amazingly spacious room. The location is more suited to visitors with a car. It is not that close, or pleasant, to walk to the historic centre. The only complaints would be lack of good lighting, and that the only phone jack was in the bathroom!

The hotel itself isn't that bad really but don't expect service there ...

The service provided was very poor. All amenity goods were expired, the refrigerator in the room was not filled in, the quality of its breakfast was poor.
