Hotel Cecchin - Aosta

Third floor without lift restaurant rather poor location convenient to visit the old town

Our 2 night stay was barely enough to explore the fascinating surrounds and city. The hotel is well located a very short stroll to the old city. Free parking is possible nearby.

Our room was spotless. The staff spoke acceptable English, was attentave to our needs, provided us with directions and help with our luggage. The location is 1 block from the old town pedestrian zone making it easy to navigate the central part of Aosta. The wall in the breakfast area is part of an old Roman bridge. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and will stay there again on any future visits to Aosta.

The Hotel Cecchin is a very pleasant, small hotel in a quiet position. It is an independent operation run with great energy and passion by a couple who appear to do everything - and with joy. My simple, comfortable room had an Alpine atmosphere and a view of the mountains. Breakfast was fine, but supper (the hotel has its own dining room)was slightly less successful - however there's plenty of choice in the area and the hotel is less than five minutes away from the main streets. The service and the value can't be faulted and I came away feeling as if I'd been staying with friends.

Very friendly and welcoming, rooms excellent, however evening meal was disappointing and the breakfast had very little choice. Difficult to navigate to by car down 1 way narrow back streets, ample garage available at a cost or parking in public car parks away from hotel.

We originally planned to stay in Hotel Cecchin for 1 night on our way to see Le Tour de France as it passed through la valle d'aosta but the hosts were so welcoming and accommodating that we booked for another on the spot and returned again on our trip back to Milan airport. The owners were very friendly, patient and helpful as I tried to converse in my beginners level Italian. The hotel is in a perfect location, built on a Roman bridge(AD 1), right beside the historic Roman Arc and Aosta centre and about 2 steps away from a beautiful little pizzeria. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with a piece of history themselves (ask about the great Gino Bartali). This a breathtaking area of Italy, brilliant for sightseeing, cycling and skiing with the ski resort of Pila overlooking Aosta. We would definitely visit again. Loved it......MARCO P

Très bien , sympa bien situe propre

Très bon accueil de la part de l'hôtelier. Il parle français mais quand il a vu que je parlais italien, il m'a parlé italien, ce qui m'a beaucoup fait plaisir. Auberge tranquille à l'ambiance familiale, les chambres sont très confortables et refaites à neuf. La ville d'Aoste et ses ruines romaines est juste à côté. Bon petit déjeuner servi agréablement sur la terrasse.

Familiär geführtes, sehr schönes Hotel mit ca. 10 Zimmer. Alles im wirklich neuen Zustand! Gute Lage in kurzer Reichweite zur Innenstadt. Öffentlicher Parkplatz in ca. 200m Entfernung war gratis! Sehr empfehlenswert!

Hotel agréable, confortable et bien situé à proximité immédiate du centre ville piéton; accueil convivial . la salle du petit déjeuner avec visite des fondations du pont romain vaut le coup d'oeil pour les amateurs de "vielles pierres".

Right for a short stay in Aosta. The room was clean, spacious and quiet, the breakfast was ok (keeping in mind that the hotel is not a luxury resort); the hotel is just a short walk from the city centre. Good ratio quality price.

Hotel Cecchin is located just above one of the featured landmarks of Aosta, a Roman bridge. The main pedestrian area is just a five-minute walk away. Our room was comfortable, the bathroom unusually spacious and light. The host was very friendly and helpful. Do not miss the Roman forum/cryptoportico or the Roman theatre.

L' hôtel Cecchin est une ancienne maison pleine de charme qui a été remarquablement rénovée. Elle se trouve dans un quartier calme très proche du centre d'Aoste. L'hôtelier est très serviable et il s'exprime dans un français impeccable. Nous recommandons vivement l'établissement aux voyageurs de passage et aux touristes souhaitant séjourner au Val d'Aoste.

The owner/man speaks good english. Not his wife. The owner was very helpful with directions to whatever we asked for and voluntered good information pertaining to the area and surroundings. The hotel is good value and the location is good.

Ottimo hotel. buona posizione per raggiungere tutti i punti di interesse. personale gentile e simpatico.

Everything was ok. However the breackfast was poor.
