The host is very welcoming and friendly. It's a quick walk to the public sandy beach, grocery store, and local train. I was thrilled to have air conditioning, TV, towels and other frills for the very reasonable price we paid. This is a good place to stay on a budget and it's a good place to either lay on the beach for a few days or make day trips to Cannes, Nice etc. Enjoy!

My friend and I booked the Cecil Hotel at the last minute and proably got the only room left at a reasonable price. My friend then read lots of reviews and was very worried about staying there but she need not have done. The hotel was absolutely fine; the owner was very helpful, breakfasts were basic continental and hotel was quiet. Juan les Pins was absolutely crowded though and August was not the best month to go there.

I have stayed in a single room. It looks more as a prison cell then a hotel room. There was also a terrible smell in the bathroom. All furniture are old, towels are grey. They even didnt clean the room every day.

this is great for younger tourists, it's close to beach, pubs and clubs. It's perfect if your not planning to be in your room alot beacuase there isn't much room but the beds are comfortable. I would only stay here for a short amount of time because i prefer self catering apartments.

Wifi is not working on the top floor, I had to go terrace to use it. But overall, the hotel is nice and quite, and is very close to night life, train station and the beach.

Excellent location, only a couple blocks from the station and then only five minutes from the seaside and restaurants the other way. Juan Les Pins is a lovely resort area only two stations from Cannes.

This hotel is quite run-down. It's not for the faint of heart. I really wanted to save some cash and I wouldn't do it again.

I have taken a triple room with my wife and 3-year old daughter. We have spent 4 nights during high season. The price was the lowest for a triple room and not much higher than the cheapest double room. The hotel location is excellent in the heart of town and near the beach. Now the bad news: the toilet/shower is 90cm by 140cm with a noisy fan that is not enough to drive out the humidity. The little rug in front of the shower gets soaked and never dries. It started to cause bad smells on our 2nd day. Towels have been washed a million times they are practically rags. I could here the telephone ring at the reception as if it were under my pillow. I have to add that the staff is exeptionally unfriendly. Next time I'll put a few more euros and get a proper hotel room.

Everything about the hotel was fine except for the location, in that, it is in a city where train service is infrequent. Other than that I would recommend this hotel.

Recommended only if you look for a place very close to the beaches - really just 2mn walking! Also, air conditioning in the bedroom worked perfectly and saved us from the 38° at night! For the rest, we had a tiny little room not really clean with a microscopic collapsing ensuite bathroom with no towels nor soaps in it, still, good service, we got our moths-eaten-towels straight after we asked for it! Anyway, we probably were unlucky as a friend got a single bedroom cleaner and bigger than our double with an appearantly renewed bathrom. If we'd go back? We'd probably pay a bit more and get a proper hotel. Plenty of them close to the beach.

This is a small hotel on a quiet off-street in Juan-les-Pins (between Antibes and Cannes) - but "off street" means that you are 50 steps from the stores and 2 minutes from the Riviera. The manager/owner and his wife were AT ALL TIMES friendly and helpful, even pointing out where we could find some "hidden" public parking nearby that only the locals know about. Every morning at breakfast (6 euros/person, which is par for the area), we had a quaint, old-style setting with a Continental breakfast of much more than we could eat: fresh croissant and baguette, plus toast, juice and choice of cafe au lait, tea or espresso -- plus lots of conversation if we felt like it, or none if we did not. It probably helps if one speaks French, which we do poorly, and they don't speak English per se, but communications was never a problem: good humor and a willingness to help were the order of the day. There is a very comfortable-looking sitting room/library, which we sadly never took advantage of, since we were out all day and deep into the night. The hotel, by the way, used to be a British hotel at the turn of the 19th century, so much of the quaintness lies in its character. The rooms were comfortable, the bathrooms and plumbing recently refitted and always in top order. The elevator is tigght but fast. There was a TV, too, but who wants to watch the tube when on the Cote d'Azur? A great time: we're going back there because, even though business travellers, we felt like family.

Very close to train station and beach-- overall great location. The room was alright but the bathroom was tiny. Every room has a small balcony and the street is very quiet. It's not inside the main blocks of restaurants by the water. We would recommend it for anyone looking for a simple, no frills location and stay. Walking down to the water and main restaurants is not far.

The owners of the hotel were very hard-working and attentive. They made us feel very welcome. We had a problem with the curtain rail in our room and it was sorted out immediately. The hotel is very 'French', very authentic which we very much appreciated - excellent value for money. Clean, comfortable beds and efficient shower. We had a lovely stay.

to say that we booked online at very short notice, we were really impressed. the hotel is not the ritz, but it was clean and in a fab location for the beach and all the nightlife. ( 3mins and 3 mins respectively) no curfew, we got a key to let us in at daft o'clock; and the manager even took us to the airport (at daft o'clock) for a price considerably less than a taxi would have cost us. would def go back there
