Great location, friendly staff. Pretty noisy but to be expected being above a busy street. Very hard beds!

I would recommend staying at the Au Tropico to everyone who wants to stay in Juan Les Pins, be it for a short stay, or an entire holiday. The beach is within 2 minutes reach, just walk down the road and there is everything you need at the doorstep, except for the noisy pubs and discotheques, which is kind of a blessing when staying in a lively town like Juan Les Pins! Still, it takes only 5 minutes on foot from the hotel to get into the town center with all its boutiques, cafés, restaurants, the casino and all its night life... The hotel staff, mainly the owner and his family, is very polite and always very engaged in helping you with all you might occur. Definitely a place to go back to!

This comment is made for The Residence Hotel, not Au Tropico. When we arrived at Au Tropico, we were told in a nice way that they were over booked and that there was another room waiting for us just around the corner. They walked us to The Residence Hotel, check us in and bid farewell. The Residence is nothing special but we were only there one night, location is perfect and the price is right for just a bed and shower in Antibes. Would be willing to stay 3 nights if necessary. Only complaint, the rooms are not sound proof and it was temporarily loud when all the bars closed and drunk tourists returned to sleep.

Hotel was fine, except for the noise. Very difficult to get parking since it is close to the very busy Juan les Pins.

Fairly central to the beach and promenade of Juan-les Pins. Frequent busses to Antibes or trains to Cannes/Nice. Welcoming air conditioning and quiet street was a nice suprise. Juan les Pins is a definite must on the French Coast and the hotel was very affordable compared to some of the towns in the area.

The hotel is ideally placed near the beach. The room was clean although small. The air conditioning in the room was the best of the 4 hotels we stayed at in the south of France. The manager was very nice and being able to use the parking spot in front of the hotel was great since finding parking in the area is extremely difficult since it is so close to the beach. I was happy with the accommodation for the price. There is no elevator so if potentially having to climb 4 flights of stairs is a problem this hotel would not be a good choice.

- Good location, the beach, stores (a SPAR, Leader Price), a bakery, restaurants, tourist inform, bus stop and train station are really near. It's not by the sea, but it's just a few minutes (5 maybe) walk. Public beach is a bit farther. There are good tour possibilites with the train (nearby cities). - Thin walls, you can hear your neighbour flushing the toilet etc. We were in the 1st floor with a window to the street. If you can, don't choose a room like that! It's very-very noisy, the outside traffic is very close and really loud! It's hard to sleep with all the horns, scooters, bikes and choppers. Our bed was very hard, another thing to sleep not to well... but we survived :-) There was a burned out lightbulb in the bathroom. I asked the manager to change it. Nothing happened. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, with a very little englich knowledge. Communication was not too easy.

A very friendly and welcoming family own this hotel and it made all the difference to my stay. It wasn't just that they were very helpful with local information -- parking, trains, buses, restaurants -- it also made for a very nice atmosphere in contrast to many of the impersonal and MUCH more expensive business hotels I have stayed at. Highly recommended (though the lack of an elevator might be a problem for older guests).

Overall I would say that the hotel was a good one. Not something extra amazing, but very clean and tidy (with decoration from the 70'!) and extremely close to the beach. If you just ask for a hotel that is ok, but not luxurious or trendy and just want to feel relaxed, at easy and in a holiday mood, this is the place to go. Apart from the fact that EURO was on when I went and people were acting crazy in the streets and did not let me sleep, it was a good experience! And it has air conditioning too! Try the little bakery next door! The croissants and the pains au chocolat et amande are fantastic!

I'm not quite satisfied because the price on the webpage is different from the sum that the master ashed me (290 euro and not 270); then he took a part of the money from my card while there was written that the number of the card was only for reservation. Finally there was no parking.
