Hotel Flamboyant - Annecy-le-Vieux, Annecy

This is a terrific hotel, away from the hustle and bustle, which we like. about 5 minute drive to center of things. Pleasant staff. Would stay there again in a heartbeat if i return to Annecy.

Enjoyable stay. Spacious room and the chance to use small kitchenette for just 15 euros a week. Breakfast ok but probably not worth the extra. Although the location is just outside the main town, there is very easy access to the bus stop. Journey about 10 minutes. Most staff very accommodating and helpful.

This was one of the best stays in our 30 days trip in Europe. Hotel is small, comfortable, well maintained, and an excellent value for the money. Staff is kind and competent, the room, bath, parking lot and everything else was perfect. The breakfast is mayble the only downmark because it offers a very limited assortment of items, most of them cold. Annecy is a wonderful city and even when The Flamboyant hotel is located in Annecy Le Vieux, we did not have to use the car to go around downtown Annecy. It is a long walk but adds some exercise during the holidays. Walking back to the hotel at midnight was entirely safe and an enjoyable experience by the lake side. We chose the Flamboyant based on the reviews and the rate, and it came to be a much better option than staying in one of the Annecy downtown hotels with the crowd around that could make the place noisy. Thumbs up for The Flamboyant.

The hotel is just outside if the controlled parking of Annecy centre. Parking is free and available at the hotel and the distance to the old town for restaurants is just a few minutes by car or a healthy 30 minute walk. Breakfast is very good but there is no restaurant in the hotel for dinner. For us, this was a perfect place to stay and we would certainly recommend it.

Hotel Flamboyant has an interesting style, but overall the bathrooms are very recently updated and very clean and bright. The rooms are clean as well, but since it is next to a road, there is noise. Although it is a bit far to walk into the historical center, it is an easy drive (< 5min) to free parking and then maybe 10-15 walk along the lake into the historical center. It feels safe and secure with free parking and free WIFI without a password. Excellent value!! It is about 1 block away from a large Carrefour if you need anything.

Le Flamboyant is a great place to stay when visiting Lac Annecy. The hotel is clean and quiet and our room was very spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful for the most part except for one rather grumpy person on the desk. We learned quickly to ask other staff members for help when needed. The hotel is located on the outskirts and this is superb because the traffic in the central core is pretty bad. There is a public beach with free parking about a km away. I would definitely saty here again.

Nice place to stay

A very good welcome. Kindness of people. Very nice and spacious room. I liked the atmosphere. Only very small observation regarding breakfast which could be better for the price requested (more fresh fruit - Bio products could be offered - Home made marmelades would be better also). Will recommand the hotel.

We went to Annecy for holidays. We had an excellent time in the area. the personnel was very very helpful. Yhe hotel is well located. We'd come back. we recommend this hotel to everyone.

We stayed for a week and loved every moment of it. Our best recommendations. There was one problem - we left our item of clothing after chek out and later had to contact the reception several times to make them send the coat back by courier post to another country where we live. This seemed embarassing - as soon as smth goes out of the bitten track - the French do not care. They HATE SOLVING PROBLEMS. In fact they are rather lazy workers - that is was socialism lead to in this country.

Very quiet and beautiful hotel. Room very large, very clean. Huge bed, rare to find in France. We'll visit it again every time we'll be in Annecy (very frequently).

Very luxurious, comfortable room. Delicious breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. Location is a bit of a walk from the center of the old city, but driving around Annecy is easy and parking is plentiful at the hotel. (Finding a space by the Palais de l'Isle is another matter, though it's not impossible.) Hotel is in a residential area, which is pleasant and quiet. Downside is that any stores and restaurants are also some distance away. Great hotel for motoring travelers.

Nice hotel, clean, away from centre (longer walk or 5-10 mins. per car). Parking lot is spacious and free. Well cared surrounding. I would definitely stay again.

Nice hotel, although a good drive away from town center. The rooms were a bit dark and musty. Had internet access that worked well for us, and the room was larger than some we had previously stayed in. Overall, a decent hotel for us to use as an overnight stopover.

We stayed at the Flamboyant for four days and found it to a small, modest, quiet hotel that met our needs quite comfortably. The staff was pleasant and helpful (we enjoyed the restaurant - La Cloche- that they recommended)The hotel is located in a nice neighbourhood, away from the town centre but within walking distance of the lake. The dining room only served a continental breakfast buffet with lots of fresh coffee and wasn't open otherwise. Good parking.

Everything just fine,but: The breakfast was far below standard in my eyes, no cheese, no eggs, no sausages.... To much money (about 9€) for what you got.

Photo's suggested that the hotel would be small and might be a bit dated, but we were pleasantly surprised to find a well furnished, professionally run hotel. Drinks were a bit pricey though. Great place to stay with easy access to Anncey's old town, but without the hassle of the main tourist trappings. Recommend hiring a bike to get around the area as traffic is quite busy

We had asked for a quiet room with a view, but got a room overlooking two busy roads. After one sleepless night we could change to a quiet room overlooking the garden, which was much nicer. First they wanted us to pay extra, as we of course refused. The above rating is for the first night. If a quiet room is impossible to get at a certain pricerange, we would appreciate you coming back to us with that information so we would know. We are now a little hesitant to book we you again, but we will see. We have Athens and Croatia coming up soon. Best regards Elisabeth Wangel

Clean rooms friendly service, location not well sign posted

It was so pity that we had only one night in this nice hotel in this fantastic city. All was perfect.

Really nice hotel, friendly staff, very helpful. Air Conditioning in the rooms was excellent. Would go back without hesitation.

It is better to instruct an easy route to the hotel in the web page. The map now used is not enough.
