Hotel Des Marquisats - Annecy

Staff were very friendly and helpfull. The walk to the centre of Annecy was about 20 minutes and very pleasant. The bathroom had been very recently renewed and was very good. Our only small complaint would be that the bed sagged a little in the middle

Overall ok but no restaurant means having to go out in poor weather. Staff not informing enough when it comes to wifi internet connection. All lovely and smiley until you pose them with an issue. Stay clear of mezzanine rooms as draft from above floor eminent. View excellent and stay nice but niggling problems hinder stay in such a picturesque area.

11 euros per person for the breakfast : breakfast was not the quality expected for this price. Nothing to say about the room.

Appauling bed - major lack of Pillows - Shower just floods the floor - Tiny room - Breakfast OK but lack of staff. Struggled to arrive before the 2200 deadline and after 3 calls in transit, begging them to let us arrive at around 2330 we gave up and stayed in Djon for the night and was pretty annoyed that they insisted on charging us for it. Definately would not recomend this place especially for the price they charge.

We passed through Annecy on our way to Spain and stayed two nights in the hotel des Marquisats. - And we were thrilled! Reception staff was always friendly and helpful, safe parking is provided right in front of the door, the room was nice, tidy and clean (bathroom, too) and from the hotel you can reach the city within a ten minutes walk along the lake - beautiful! We would definitely go back! Only one thing: please note that hotel rooms it is not guaranteed that you get your hotel room if you arrive after 10 o'clock p.m.

We were a little disappointed with this hotel, perhaps because we had such high expectations. Our room was in the roof and had sloping ceilings with a velux type roof window. The public area was reasonable but didn't feel very welcoming and drinks were expensive. Breakfast was good and the staff at beakfast very helpful and cheerful, the proprietor was polite but a bit reserved. Good parking which was important to us, a fifteen minute walk into Annecy (where a restaurant tried to rip us off). Nothing to do with the hotel but left us with a poor impression of the place overall.

A very nice quiet hotel a few minutes walk from town. A pleasant welcome from the owners and very helpful staff. The car park is useful and the rooms are clean and tidy.

The room was a little cramped but the view almost made up for it. The lounge area was exceptionally comfortable. The maps all show access to the rear of the hotel by footpath. This does not seem to exist!

We stayed 1st week in July 08. The hotel was what we had expected from the website,with a fine position set back slightly up hill from the road and with glorious views of the lake. We used the collect/return service from the the railway station (for a reasonable fee added to the final bill). There was a local bus service every 15 mins (5 mins from hotel), or it was a pleasant 15 min stroll by the lake into beautiful Annecy. Pack your bags!

Very quiet and comfortable hotel, with friendly and helpful staff and good views. Proprietor is also taxi driver on request. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the centre of town, where the nearest restaurants are located, but the nearest bus stop is only a few minutes walk at the end of the road (older or infirm people will find the walk back rather steep!). However, there are no buses into or out of town after about 8pm.

The bathroom is very big and clean, full of sunshine in the morning. breakfast is served very well, staff very helpful.

Beautiful small hotel with spectacular lounge. Windows are small so "lake view" is limited. Breakfast was adequate but not outstanding. Staff were courteous but not paticularly attentive.

The hotel was fine for European standards at that price - a little out of the way of any conveniences, otherwise easy to locate. The decor was nice - traditional French. The bathroom area was quite large in comparison to the bed area, where there wasn't much room to walk around - wouldn't be suitable for larger people. We weren't too fond of the clothes closet in the bathroom due to shower steam, etc.

An ideally situated hotel from which to visit Annecy. Good secure parking, a pleasant stroll into the town or a bus every quarter of an hour near to the hotel.

The only problem is that the device they proposed for Internet was not working... Seul problème, leur appareil pour accéder à Internet ne fonctionnait pas...

The hotel is nice: nice lobby to sit in, welcoming owners, a variety of rooms. The buffet breakfast for €10 was sufficient. The hotel is within a 15 min walk to the center of Annecy and next to the hiking trails. We would like to return to this hotel again.

Nice hotel in good location. Annecy is a beautiful city in the French Alps. This hotel has rooms with views of the lake. It is a short walk or drive to the city center where you can enjoy a large public park. The park offers watersports and festivals. Rooms comfortable and as listed in the web page. Staff gracious but unyielding in accomidating changes in length of stay after deadline.
