Chiberta & Golf Hôtel & Resort - Anglet

A hotel is superbly located for a good relaxing holiday: it is surrounded by beautiful green grounds, golf fields, there are tennis courts in the proximity, beautiful beaches are at a five minute walk from the hotel. We stayed in the residence building which has large family rooms equipped with a kitchen corner, which is very handy, esp that there are no restaurants apart from the hotel one close to the hotel. The only downside was that the doors to the rooms are thin and let penetrate the noise from the corridor, which was not too disturbing however as it's a family hotel with respectable clientele. It's possible to make it to Biarritz by bus but having a car or a bike is handy.

I've got a so-called club room (the worst catagory of rooms which wasn't specially indicated). These rooms are small, they have no balconies. There are a lot of rooms of such type in the Hotel, rooms with balconies are in the Residence (in photo). Hotel De Chiberta et du Golf caters to golf players only.

quite difficult to find. Rooms in a tired appartment block a bit dated, probably 1970/80's. Not in Biarritz, €20 euro cab ride to centre, so if you think you are in Biarritz you will be dissapointed.

We were very very dissapointed with our stay at the hotel. The room was not as we had hoped although mainly due to the insufficient information available through the internet booking service. Our special occasion weekend was ruined by the fact that we were not told at the time of booking that the hotel was accomodating a wedding therefore the restaurant was not available to ourselves. Little information was given regards facilities available on our arrival. Our email sent prior our visit was not acknowledged, asking for certain confirmations for our weekend. The hotel we feel possibly needs a slight refurbishment, bedroom furniture looking secondhand. The toilet in our room did not smell good and the noise from a generator did not provide us with a restful sleep. We would not book this again.Very dissapointed.No coffee making facilities in room. No towels available for pool in room.

Our reason for staying at this hotel was it is ideally placed for using adjacent golf complex. Main concern was that the bar seemed to close by 10 pm, and then we were not allowed to stay with our drinks in bar area, but were ushered to a large public area and sit there - seemed somewhat strange. Food was average. Looked to be a nice pool but didn't use it ourselves.

no air conditioning or even fan lawm mowing at 8am is very disturbing, after already hearing it all previous afternoon reception provides minimal information (no info on tennis access, on pool key, pool towels, snoack possibilities...)

After having booked a double room "tradition", we were directed towards the residence de Chiberta (part of the hotel de Chiberta) where we stayed for two nights. The first morning, we woke up to the sound of the loan mower soon to be followed by the disturbance from a keen driller within the same facilities (all took place in between 8:30 and 10:00 in the morning). The following day, our virtuose drilling neighbour composed a fine rumorous sonate which started at 9:00 am to last until late in the morning. We regretted not to have brought our hammers and nails to join in. Furthermore, the rooms are as tacky as the dresses of the Queen of England, the bathroom sink leaked and the carpets beared cigarets burns...not too mention the dull aspect of the interiors of the Residence itself (un je ne sais quoi de desolated area). A very, very, not pleasant at all experience....unless you are into DIY, maybe...

lovely hotel and our room had a lovely view over the lake.The staff were excellent and booked us restaurants which they recommended. We thouoghly enjoyed our stay. We would have liked tea and coffe in our room and room service. Also there were no Tv channels other than French ie SKY sports etc but thats a minor point.
