Eden Roc Inn & Suites - Anaheim

This hotel needs a remodeling really bad. The tub was Scraped really bad. One of the full bed was not very good, note even. The carpet very old and looked dirty it also had 2 iron burns. There where other stuff that I can't recall at the moment. The price for this hotel must of been because of the area because of the quality it gave I would rate is a 4.

The front desk for check in was mostly fine, although the lobby smelled like stale smoke. When we asked about shuttles /transportation we were told there are no shuttles nearby and Disneyland was only a "block and a half" away. There actually ended up being shuttle stops on the CORNER (50 yards away from the lobby) We found out about the transportation after asking the employees in the hotel NEXT DOOR, who were super helpful and gave us TONS of useful information . Once we got our keys -REAL keys on old worn out paper tags with our ROOM number printed on them..um, hello security issues? Now on to the rooms themselves. The room smelled like stale smoke and musty. There was spackle patches on the ceiling and walls, the carpet had STICKY spots throughout the room,I REFUSED to put my bare feet on the carpet. The beds had the thinnest sheet, pillows & blanket I have ever seen and there was no fitted sheet on the bed.The bathroom had really old & damaged,and also sticky, linoleum with more patching and cracks throughout.The shower was small but acceptable until I actually took a shower and it started going from extreme cold water to extreme hot water throughout. The shampoo bottles were clearly reused & refilled as opposed to new ones being used with each guest. The mirror was worn with black spots all over it and there was just a free standing sink meaning no counter space for toiletries. There were 3 of us and only 2 sets of towels. The towels were super scratchy.No clock in the room. No Wi-Fi in the room and not enough outlets in the room if you have phone chargers & laptops.When the people above us walked around their room, it was really loud. Not just pitter pats, but loud squeaking of floorboards that you just couldn’t ignore with the super thin walls/ceilings. The air conditioner produced humid, smelly air. I could seriously go on,but I think you get the point. Splurge for a bit more because it will really enhance your vacation.

Clean, reasonable, friendly home away from home. We recently returned from an 8 night stay at Eden Roc. We found the staff very accomodating - we had booked the hotel in advance but encountered car trouble which delayed our arrival by a day. We called and left a message with the manager and sent an email explaining our situtation. Although according to the contract, they could have charged us for the night we didn't show, the manager generously waived the charges! For some reason, the deadbolt lock didn't work - within hours they had it fixed. The room was clean and housekeeping did a great job. With 6 of us occupying a 2 bed room suite, we were delighted to have the added space the kitchen area provided along with the microwave and fridge. We found this great for making our own breakfast and bagged lunch. The danishes and muffins they provided for breakfast made a great mid morning snack - though we did enjoy the early morning coffee!! We found the front desk staff extreemely helpful in giving us maps and information regarding surrounding shopping and beaches. One of the best parts was its location to Disneyland - a comfortable 15 minute walk for our party ranging in age from 6 to 56 years. They guarantee internet service in the lobby - the first night we weren't able to get it in our room but discovered if we had our computer close to the door, it connected for us for the rest of our stay. While it is an older hotel, definitely not perfect, it more than met our needs and we would stay again in a heartbeat. JoanG, Canada
