Hotel La Bougainville - Anacapri, Capri

We stayed at the Bouquinville Hotel on Aug. 29 - Sep. 4, 2011. We had a great time here. The hotel staff, esp. the owner Mr. Luigi was very friendly and helpful to us. He gave us information, maps, advice. It is really convenient to travel from / to Capri. The bus stop is only a few steps from the hotel. Next to the hotel is the Post Office. About 100 meters is the bus terminal to the Blue Cave and the Lighthouse. Across the hotel one can get to the shortcut to the Anacapri historic sites very easily.

This was a very spacious rooms on European standards & very clean. The staff was very friendly & worked to help us with whatever we needed. They were funny, sweet & very good to our children. We felt they were a bit expensive, but I guess that is the Capri life! It was a continental breakfast and there is a small mini bar in your room. We loved the balcony too. They are very close to Anacapri, but a bit far from everything else. The staff was very helpful with the local bus stops & schedules that get you anywhere on the island.

The rooms facing the street were very noisy it is the main street for all traffic, i do not fault the hotel it's something that can not be helped, some english channels on the tv would be nice like fox news

We came in November and there was a distinct odor of mold and moisture in the three rooms we rented. Other than that, not a bad stay.

Nice place in general, only problem is no smoking rooms at all!!

The management of this small hotel were wonderfully helpful and assisted us in having a wedding rehersal reception in thier dining area for our daughter. The hotel is very convienient to shopping in Anacapri and to transportation to capri town. we highly recommend this hotel.

Pleasant, not all the rooms have screens on the windows so the motikotos can invade the room and distrubt your sleep. But the owner is very friendly as well as the reception people. Also, the hotel is very clean

Everything was fine, I just wish that they could have provided me with an iron to press my clothes. They said that it "was not possible," but that I could go down the street to the cleaners to get my clothes pressed. I could get an iron in the bed & breakfast that I stayed in while in Rome, and it was only 80 euros a night. I certainly believe I should be able to receive the same treatment when I'm paying 175 euros a night. Other than that, the stay was excellent.
