Room was in the atic. You have to walk through many aisles to get there. It was clean and quiet. the hotel is located a little bit far from the center but access by tram is easy. Public areas not recomendable. Breakfast very expensive, you can have it in many cafes nearby by half the price.

The Savoy offered a good mix of quality and convenience. Its price was superior to comparable establishments in the historic center. Yet transportation was facile both to and from the train station and major sites in the city. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet, and there were excellent food choices nearby. I'd recommend it over hotels in the old city center even if the prices were comfortable. Much quieter at the Savoy, giving you a feel for modern day Amsterdam.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Savoy. The staff was helpful in all ways. The breakfast buffet was good. The room was quite small, but adequate. Mainly it was clean. The Internet system available did not work, but that wasn't a big deal for us. There were several other little hiccups as well, but generally speaking, the staff did all they could with what was available to them. The hotel is close to good restaurants, and the neighborhood is quite good as well.

The hotel locates close to the sighseeings in a nice area, the museum district is only 10 minutes by tram. The tram also stops in front of the hotel so very confortable to travel. The room was nice and clean although the wifi signal was really weak in our room (it was a corner room)so I had difficulties with the net.

I travelled with a friend and we had a lovely long weekend in Amsterdam despite the freezing cold weather. The hotel was very clean, room was big enough, staff welcoming and the breakfast was enough to keep you going well until lunch. The location is a bit far from center but the trams take you there in no time at all (the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum are fairly close by). Very good value for money.

The rooms and amenities were all as advertised. The availability of ice water, tea/coffee and snacks throughout the day made the stay easier and more pleasant. The staff was all friendly and courteous. Bike rental was also available right at the front desk, which was an unadvertised convenience. The location is very convenient to museums and tram line. Overall, an excellent place for family/leisure travel.

I will stay here next time I'm in Amsterdam. good value with breakfast and snacks, drinks and beverages included. Beautiful Hotel, friendly staff, Love the neighborhood. Lots to do and see, shopping, cafes, trams to get to center right in front (thought this neighborhood is happening). Loved everything about this place.

Stayed just one night and wished it had lasted longer. All the good reviews are true to fact. Didn't have an opportunity to check staff competence, but as for the room it was really cosy. Location is not a problem if you don't mind a trip by tram, especially if you prefer quieter surroundings. The only thing that was not that nice was the bath: though it was exquisite, clean and well equipped, I would be happy with better water pressure and a bigger shutter
