The hotel Jupiter was in a quiet district only a 25 minute walk to the Dam Square. We had booked a couple of trips and the joining points were close by. Our room was spacious and very clean. As in all Dutch buildings the stairs were very steep but there was a lift to use if needed. The breakfast provided was good consisting of various cereals, breads, fruit and meat. We enjoyed our stay.

The overall stay was good. The only problem is that the staff at the reception is held by a very rude man.

I have never stayed such a crowded, small room before for 4 people, two beds had to be folded down and when all beds were down, none was able to go to the washroom without jumping over beds. The staircase was almost 90 degrees up,steps are fit for tiptoing. The picture on the website did notcover reality. However, breakfast was decent, but the staff should learn to smile,we had a feeling that they were all inconvenienced by the guests.the location was excellent though!

I'm a girl in my 22yrs, I've been there alone for 2 nights last weekend. The hotel was ok, near the centre, the room was little and clean, the breakfast wasn't plenty but enough and various, the stairs were steep but the elevator worked properly. Only the owner was quite rude manner (and he could avoid some inappropriate jokes as well), but overall it's a good hotel.

The night service was really very poor. Most unfriendly and rude when need for help. Day service was fine.

A good location, just 5 minutes from three different tram stops. Very quiet location, as well as it is just off the canal district. No air conditioning, but with heater, which was not needed. The room was very small but clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel has a small lift, which is very useful for luggage, as the stairs are so narrow as expected in Amsterdam. Breakfast is nothing special but has a wide selection.

The room was justed needed for a night to sleep and as such, it was fine. The room however was on the 2nd floor. Shower and toilette on the 4th or a toilet on the ground floor. The steps were extreme steep and with a heavy suitcase, it was somewhat a problem, especially to come down. The staff was reserved, but friendly enough. I had the basic single room and have no idea about the others. I would go back again if I have to board ship (my workplace) early in the monrning again in Amsterdam.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Hotel Jupiter, the rooms were clean and comfortable and very quiet. Our window looked out to a pretty garden, which would have been nice in summer. We were 5 minutes walk to the tram and 20 minutes walk to Dam Square etc.

Well situated but: The room was bearly 7m2 including the toilet area, not separate from the sleeping area by a door that could be closed. The breakfast was just edible or correct, except the coffee which nice.

The location is excellent; short walk to many sites and public transit of all kinds. Breakfast was fine---as advertised. The builing is old but the interior is fully modernized and very clean and efficient. It was comfortable if not spacious. The other guests were congenialand quiet. The proprieter was "to the point" but helpful.

Ideal location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quite good breakfast if you don't expect any fancy delicacies. Going upstairs may be a bit difficult for those who have problems with their legs: the stairs are rather steep.

This has got to be one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in my life. The staff is extremely unwelcoming and they make no effort at all for you to feel well received - on the contrary, the guy at the desk has this "i don't care" attitude all the time. The room i was given was ridiculously tiny and the whole hotel had this old and humid odor. The breakfest looked fair, but made me pretty sick right afterwards. Terrible. I've traveled a lot and stayed at different places and usually i'm not so critic about these things, so believe me when i say you can get better options in the city....

Room for 3 people: very clean and spacious. The only flaw is a bad smell in the bathroom. The breakfast is not plentiful, but sufficient. The public areas are very very small. A computer is at customer's disposal. The most important museums are 5 min. walking distance and the city centre 10 min.

The hotel has a great location. Easily walk to restaurants, trams and stores. The breakfast was great as well. We were not impressed with the customer service especially for an older gentleman (maybe the owner?), never a smile, never even had a hello when we got there. The rest of the staff was wonderful and very helpful. The hotel needs a serious renovation. Rooms are really old and musty. Bathrooms are TINY. Steps are so narrow you have to go up sideways, plus the banisters are not very sturdy. They do have an elevator but it only goes to floors 3 and up (not to the second). Another good thing is that there is free wireless connection.

The hotel is in a great location with the central station eing only 30 minutes at a stroll. the hotel is clean and the breakfast was what you woud expect for the price range that the hotel falls into. There are great links to the airport and to town, if you don't want to walk, as is very close the lots of museums. The staff were very helpful prior to arrival keeping in contact by e-mail and making good suggestions, after I'd made a routine enquiry. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling on a budget as although the 4 bed room we stayed in was compact it had everything advertised, complimentary breakfast, was clean and tidy and again was in a great location.

We were travelling with family, two adults and two teenagers. The room was not so spacious for four, but we managed. The breakfast was very good comparing with scandinavian standards. The stairs was very steep and would be difficult for eldery people. Location was very good, the Van Gogh museum, Rijksmuseum, Heineken museum, restaurants and shopping were near. You could walk to all places.

We were satisfied with our stay in Jupiter hotel Amsterdam. However, we thought the proprietor could have been more welcoming or friendly. Also, the lady in the dining room was also unfriendly and removed the tea making facility one morning while we were still eating breakfast. The location was exellent and the breakfast was quite adequate.
