Hotel Sint Nicolaas - Amsterdam

Superb location; walk from Central Station easy even when jet lagged! Price isn't terrible considering how expensive rest of Amsterdam hotels are.

Very central hotel, welcoming reception staff who enabled early check-in. Breakfast provided for money was good but the mood swinging woman stocking it was hilarious and irritating depending on her mood!One guest was told breakfast was over at 930am (it finished at 10am)and she refused to fetch extra yogurt/spoons/fruit. But to be fair, she was very helpful the next day. Rooms were good sized but tram noise from 6am. Beds were the most comfy in many hotels I've been in. Take toiletries, one basic lotion for shampoo/conditioner and soap provided. Overall, would stay again and none of the above changed the fact it was very good for money for a central hotel - be warned there are four or five interesting random red light ladies operating on the next street to the right of hotel (it is quite surprising in this area - mostly confined to red light district). If you have children go up the street to the left to get to Singel St if you are going to Flower Market etc. There is also some sort of Salvation Army place opposite. Lovely fire in reception area and drinks are reasonably priced in hotel area.

Some noise from the street and no aircondition. It was very warm staying there in june. Excellent location.

We are going to stay in this hotel the next time we are going to Amsterdam. Very pleasant staff, friendly and helpfull.The hotell is situated in the center nearby the shopping area among other things. Nice room, cosy reception. All and all, it could not be more sucsessfull! We recomend it to everyone.
