The hotel staff is very kind. Rooms are small (W.C. very small) but clean. There's no elevator and the stairs are difficult. Very good breakfast. The tram to the center stops in front of the hotel. We would repeat the same hotel if we retourned.

Nice, family run hotel. Excellent breakfast. The only poblem was bathroom: very small, no ventilation, problems with water draining off

Great hotel , I even had nice art in my room and the rest of the hotel , Breakfast was amazing in a beautiful breakfast room . The staff were 5 stars and very helpful with trams ,directions etc. I loved my stay there ,but just don't use a taxi cab in Amsterdam if the driver is moroccan. I was charged 20 euro for a 10 euro Cab Ride , which I was told that only the Moroccan drivers do to rip visitors off!

The employees are very helpful, they make you feel at home. There is no elevator in the hotel, the room is very small with a narrow bed, but one can sleep well if there are no noisy neighbours around, you can hear everything through the walls. The hotel is situated in front of a small park, very nice and safe area, walking (biking) distance from the city centre.

The Sarphati is in a quiet neighborhood across the street from a park of the same name. The #25 TRAM outbound from the Centraal Station stops literally in front of the hotel -- it could not be easier for those that want to stay in a hotel away from the tourists. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. The hotel is small and the stairs are steep without any lift, but an excellent, clean and bright hotel. I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel was located just opp. to tram stop, and the tram takes arnd 15 mins to the city. Around 3 different trams come in that area so connectivity is not a problem at all. The hotel was very good and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good too. Overall, had a great stay and would surely like to stay again.

Well furnished, but about as tiny a room and bathroom as was conceivably possible. My feet were in the shower while sitting on the loo, I'd bash my head on the hair drier while sitting down etc etc. Also a soap was only provided on the first day, after which it disappeared, which though minor is nonetheless annoying. There was both quite a lot of noise in my room from the road and noise from other bedrooms in which parties seemed to be taking place. The buffet breakfast was appreciated though.

Amsterdam è bellissima e.. pazza! l'albergo é un pò lontano dal centro ( 25 minuti a piedi) ma il quartiere è bello ed è vicino ai musei. Se vi piace camminare e volete visitare anche la periferia ve lo consiglio. Se si ha l'albergo in centro si finisce a visitare poco della città e le zone meno caratteristiche! in tram ci vogliono 3 minuti per raggiungere piazza Dam! in bici non ho provato.. vanno troppo veloci! sono matti i ciclisti! state attenti! hanno precedenza su tutto!
