BE CAREFUL!!!! Advice – be careful with this hotel – without my knowing they took more than 50% above the price form my credit card. Only after 4 (FOUR!!!) month and writing the official complain, they returned the amount! Beside this rip-off, nothing much, what they advertise as a Double/Twin Room is small and pathetic. Service at the reception and breakfast are also pretty unwelcome. So beside great location.... you are warned!

The Hotel adverstised that the non-smoking rooms were available on request; however, the entire hotel was non-smoking which did not suite us.

Overall: This is a nice little hotel, cozy and clean. All the basics are present. Located at walking distance to everything. Personnel is very friendly. Our stay was pleasant. Downside: They forgot our wake up call every morning. Also the price advertised doesnt include breakfast or taxes.

excellent location, room size small but as expected, price varied a fair amount from day to day, very clean, room furnishing utilitarian rather than charming.

The hotel itself is not bad, but the people working there was not nice. They asked me to pay 50 euros of deposit in case I wanted to use minibar or have breakfast. I never had that situation in any of the multiple hotels I visited in the past. They asked my VISA card in a non elegant way, not even a "please". They lack maners and they treat clients like they are not going to pay when leaving. Not anymore.

After a stifling but very expensive hotel in Paris, this was very very spacious. We had a triple room overlooking the canal and also a small dog (no extra charge). The hotel is well located and central (it is surrounded by canals on both sides), and barely 5 minutes walk to the lively Dam area), but for that very reason too, it does get noisy at times, even at night (no fault of hotel though). The staff was welcoming and professional. On the last day, we had food delivered by room service and it was handled very well (no tips required). We had no complaints whatsoever. Very clean and excellent water pressure too. Good choice. Worth the price.

Rembrandt Centrum is in a very convenient location near Dam square. Older building with interiors that are clean but well used. Good value for the price, but not for those who are bothered by the noise of happy revelers passing by on the canal late into the evening.

I travelled with my girlfriend to Amsterdam and this was the second time. We decided this the very last moment so we were happy to find a hotel exactly on the canals. But we must say that the price we paid for only one night was not adequate to the rooms quality. We would go back to this hotel but having reserved earlier, so we can really see what the hotel can offer.

I think that it is bad that you cannot see on Veneras homepage that the price did not include breakfast. It was not said in any of the hotels shown at your page. I did not like eighther that there was not written before that the price did not include citytax!!

This hotel is very functional. Good for families visiting Amsterdam and for business travelers. No easy access for the elderly or disabled though (reception is on 1st floor after a steep flight of stairs). The hotel itself is not outstanding (no restaurant except for breakfast, WiFi internet operated by 3rd party and overpriced) but it is clean and the location on a quiet canal just a few minutes walk from the Dam square is excellent. There is a tramway station a couple of blocks away and the Central Station is at walking distance making commuting easy for those working outside of town.

Upon arrival, the desk clerks were friendly and professional. As expected, the room was not ready as we arrived early. They agreed to keep our luggage so we could start our sightseeing and said they would try to have the room ready earlier. The room was neat and clean but there was no air conditioning so after a while it became somewhat stuffy. Fortunately, it was late May and the temperature was not too hot yet so it was tolerable. Overall it was fine for the night, a little pricey ($307.00 american)for the amenities, but I guess that is the price you pay for staying in the heart of the city(great location!)in an authentic 17th century building which is,in my opinion the only way to experience the city.

This was a pleasant hotel to stay at. The staff was very welcoming and eager to help in any way. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the room was very spacious and quiet. Located in the center of town, it was close to a lot of places we wanted to see.

The Hotel Rembrandt Centrum is a great hotel tucked away on Herengracht Canal. It is about 10 minutes walking distance away from the train station, but it is a quiet retreat from all of the hustle and bustle near dam square. The rooms are spacious and clean. The beds are very soft and comfortable, which was quite a change from most of the accomadations I was used to while traveling in Europe. Booking through Venere was great because we got an incredible rate on a hotel whose "fixed" price is 600 euro a night. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

Acceptable room, but price is extreme high. Room was very poor. I had to pay E300/day for a room was absolutely under standards. Poor furniture, poor facilities, small bath. Anyway to have a rest after parties it's good.

There were four of us and we stayed in 2 double rooms. We really enjoyed this hotel which was close to everything and yet on a quiet street (or should I say canal !). We did find it a bit expensive, but not more than other hotels. The staff was pleasant and helpful, the beds comfortable, the area beautiful... we would definitely return to this hotel.

The hotel was in a great location, 5 minutes from the Anne Frank house and close to numerous other sights. We had a large room with a canal view - nice surprise! Breakfast wasn't included but they have a breakfast room if you want to buy it. I'd suggest going to a local bakery to pick something up. Overall great location, clean and good service.

We stayed two nights. First night the gave us the room which was very small. We requested a crib for the child and that was not provided. Rooms were not air conditioned and that was not clearly mentioned in webpage which displayed the information. Second night they gave us bigger room but it was noisy. The location of the hotel is great and that is the only plus. The price was higher too. I will not stay in this hotel again.

They wanted to give us a 3x3 meters room for 199 euros. Craziness... Even the room and bath details were poor. TV cable detached, rusted shower guides, mildew in the bathroom. I wouldn't suggest it to my friends.

The hotel is actually named The Rembrandt Residence. It is a great hotel, with friendly staff and large, comfortable rooms. This was our third stay in this hotel and we have never been dissapointed. We requested a double room, non smoking, on a high floor, overlooking the canal, and we got all of our requests. If we return to Amsterdam again, this is where we will stay.

Ciao!
