I don’t recommend any person to use it. Because the room is very small, there wasn’t window (just 50*50 cm on roof) there isn’t any relations between price and services.

Nelson Mandela was a terrific room when he was on prision comparated with the room of this hotel. This hotel doesnt knows about human resources. The location was ok. But if you are a happy person, this hotel makes you depress.

La camera che mi è stata assegnata era piccolissima.Non c'era lo spazio per muoversi. Non c'era una finestra niente.L'hotel non mi è piaciuto molto. A parità di prezzo altri hotel erano decisamente meglio.

Worst hotel ever. Rooms with no windows (or fire escapes). Noisy neighbours (possibly entire foreign families with kids living int he hotel). Steep stairs, even by Amsterdam standards and surly staff. Stay somewhere else for a few Euro more.

Check-in took some time (about 20 minutes) despite the fact I was only 3rd in line. My room was very clean but also very small, about two times the size of the single bed in it, including the space for the garbage, chair, small writing surface and small closet. Worst of all, the room was about 27 degrees celsius, and I could only cool it by opening my door to the hall! That said, the price was right for a Friday night in Amsterdam and the location is great - right by Leidesplein & Museumplein but on a quiet street. The hotel had secure luggage storage and also breakfast was available for 7 euros.

It says some hotel rooms have a canal view, which canal? The work desk was really tiny, no safe or radio in our room. And breakfast is not included!! All of which it says on your website to have! But the staff were friendly, nice and helpful.

If you just want somewhere to put your head down at night, then this hotel is adequate. Single rooms (as I had) are located in the basement - actually, converted cellars; very basic; the only "window" in my room was the original tiny cellar window, with bars, at pavement level - gave a nice view of the legs of passers-by, but not much else. The room was full of pipes running through it, noise from the plumbing was frequent, lasted for several minutes at a time, and was deafeningly loud, so not easy to sleep at night. However, I don't think all the rooms were this bad; double rooms on the floors above street level seemed better. And the room was quite clean. Continental breakfast not included in room price, and cost 7 euros - about average for Amsterdam. The location was very good, a few minutes' walk from the Rijksmuseum and Leidsleplein, and about ten minutes by tram from there to the Central Station.

ideal location for those who come sightseeing. 15 min by car from the airport, 30 min walk from the railway station. Quiet street, not overcrowded district. Unpleasant thing - my reservation was not valid upon my arrival, pleasant one - I staied it double room instead of single at the agreed upon reservation price. There's no safe, neither in rooms nor at reception desk, though it's advertised on Venere site.

Except for the exceptional check-in staff, I cannot recommend the hotel, especially my room which was miniscule--and leaked when it rained, so that I had to be moved into another room. The third floor staircase was more like a ladder, and would not be usable by anyone other than an athletic type.

Great location within walking distance to Vondelpark and Leidesplein. Key card didn't work so we had to be let in each time we went out - even after paying 5 euros for the key card and 20 euros for a deposit on the remote control.

The first night I had a very small and dark single room in the cellar. I asked for another room and I got a better single room on the 3nd floor also a very small but nicer room. So it was o.k. for me. I think the doubles are better but if you want a single asked for a room not in the cellar. The services are very friendly and helpfull.

If you stay in this hotel be prepared for two things. They charge extra for every single thing: Remote for TV (25 euro deposite) breakfast map of area using crdit card to pay for room even a single cup of coffee in the morning plus you must walk up several stairs to get to room. However price was good and staff helpful

Hotel is clean and fine for a night sleep. Pity that other travellers seem to think they are alone in the hotel. During the night a lot of noise was made by people coming back or leaving the hotel. One guest decided not to carry his suitcase down the stairs but let it bump on the stairs from the highest floor to the groundfloor. In the middle of the night.

I took the 50 euros room, and it didnt have any window and the space was small. The price is excellent for the service I got (its Amsterdam!), however It would be useful to quote these features in the website. The location and surroundings are perfect since you can easily reach the public transport. Employees are kind.

Our room was like a cell. They put my elderly grandmother in the basement in a room with broken shelves mounted on both ends of the bed. This was the worst stay we had out of 5 hotels.

- you have to pay a 5% higher price if you are paying with credit card - the bed was too soft, so I had to place the mattress on the floor during the night - not even a washing basin in the room - you might have to share shower/WC (one room!) with the guests of 4 or more other rooms - you better get up early in the morning!! - you have to get up very early in the morning, if you want to take a shower in the 4th floor: after the 1st night at 7:00 a.m. the shower was okay - the next morning at 8:45 a.m. there was only a little streamlet of cold water! - my single room in the 4th floor was a garret, the window could not be opened. This was okay in April - but what happens in summer, when the sun heatens up the roof?? Sauna?!
