Friendly, clean and quiet. Provided an early breakfast as I had to leave before 7:30am. Hotel in quiet street about 2 minutes walk from Het Concertgebouw and Vondelpark. Hotel has elevator and 24 hour reception. Will use again.

Budget hotel with nice triple rooms, within walking distance from Rijsmuseum, Van Gogh museum and Concertgebouw. Well comunicated with schipol airport, central station, dam and center by tram, get a pass. A few cafeterias and pizzeria in the nearby. Quiet neighbourhood, no night life. They could improve breakfast, but wasn't bad at all. Visa accepted, but you can be required to pay cash in advance to avoid paying a 4% commission.

The rooms were quite okay but it was really bad that dishes, knife and forks were dirty. And the employees at the breakfast were really ignorant. I will not stay there again.

Would not recommend anyone stay at this hotel unless it is a last option. The staff were not friendly, they charge extra for paying with a credit card, room and property overall was not clean...

Bit more expensive for being a little out of the action. Nice hotel, quiet area of the city. Easy to go to by tram. Rooms were a little small, but ok.

This was out first time in Amsterdam and this hotel was in a very nice neighborhood and easy to find. It is two blocks from the # 16 tram. It is across from a church with a very loud clock tower that chimes all night every half hour so if you're in a front room it has a beautiful view but loud clock tower. We stayed in a triple room that was very large by European standards. We would definitely go back to this hotel.

For security reasons, the credit card I used to make the booking was not the card I intended to pay with. However, BEFORE we arrived the hotel sought to charge my credit card for the 2 nights we had booked but the transaction bounced so they cancelled our booking. Over the years I have used Venere I have never had this happen before. When we arrived at the hotel they said they had only one room available and gave us a small, grotty room. They asked us to pay upfront, which we did, but then realised that they had charged us over 800 Euros for 2 nights instead of 400 Euros. We were less than impressed. The towels were thin and, no doubt clean, were marked or ripped. The only good thing was that it's close to the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh museum, a tram, and a couple of excellent restaurants. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Competence of employees very requestable. Someone tried to call me - neither no one could give that person any info about my room number or direct call nor any info that someone tried to call me. The drain from the shower was obviously clogged but nothing happened. For use of credit card they charge 5 Euro - thats too much.

The hotel is very close to the tram n.2 which takes you directly to downtown and art museums. The room we had was comfortable and fairly clean with a balcony which overlooked a beautiful church! The bathroom was a bit outdated but clean. The hotel had also a bar in the lobby which was nice. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic! Price worthy. We would definitely stay here again.

I needed to sleep in this area; this was the last hotel offering a room therefore I chosed it, as I 've always been very satisfied by all hotels booked through Venere. I paid with credit card, and therefore was charged 5€ extra! The sheets were so old that I found holes. I staid one night, and on Sunday morning when I had breakfast there was almost nothing left, and the staff was overwhelmed by the workload. A real bad experience I erased from my memory as from the moment I left the hotel. The crew is focused only on the money you can provide them, I needed to pay immediately at check in, but even with holes in the sheets when I checked out don't worry they checked if I owned them money. Don't go there. The hotel is indeed in a nice area, but choose another hotel.

We enjoyed our 3-night stay at this hotel. It is one of the more affordable hotels in Amsterdam yet is close to the tram and art museums, and is fairly clean. The room was comfortable although not immaculate. The bathroom was a bit outdated but clean. We had a balcony with french doors that overlooked a church courtyard. The view was great but the church bells chime on the hour, which took some adjustment. There is also no air-conditioning which means sleeping with the doors open (and listening to the church bells). However, there was a fan which provided some white noise. The complimentary breakfast was surprisingly good. The hotel has a bar/cafe in the lobby which was nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Some noise from the street and chuchbells all night. The staff should know how to phone abroad. They wanted us to pay again when we left - should have registered that we payd at arrival. Nice hotel. Location excellent if you are going to the museums and sightseeing tours.

It was in a quiet neighborhood, close to the trolley and the hotel shuttle from the airport dropped us right at the door.
