We got an upgraded room for no extra cost (as there were no standard rooms available when we arrived), it was spacious, quiet and with a nice view over the rooftops and the canal behind the hotel. The room itself could use with some updating, though, especially the bathroom, and I missed a mirror in the room (only in the bathroom). Thankfully no carpets in the room (the hallways were carpeted and could also use some updating). Rooms were costly enough, even if we got a special internet price when we booked it, but location makes it worth it. Cleanliness was fine, the free wi-fi was unfortunately not reachable from our room (but in the hallway outside it, as well as in the lobby), and other services were not explored much in our case (for instance we thought the breakfast was too pricey, and the alternatives plentiful outside of the hotel). Location is excellent, though avoid the tourist trappey Leidseplein and (especially) Rembrandtplein, which were the first places the receptionist advised us to go (maybe this is personal preference, but the city have so many nicer places to offer!). Hotel is close to the lovely 9 streets area as well as Jordaan, and within walking distance of most things (and with the tram running nearby).

Room Details

NH City Centre Amsterdam offers 209 guest rooms for your family-friendly holiday. Guests can kick back at the end of a busy day and enjoy flat-screen televisions with cable channels and pay movies.
