I had an extremely tiny room, more like a coffin) But otherwise it was good, the location is superb, although quite far from the metro station, but still very central. The staff was nice and friendly

I was angry with myself for choosing Motzart. The walls were dirty, the chairs stained, the room small, the window broken and mended with adhesive tape and the other couldn;t be closed easily and when i asked for help they told me to sleep with the window open till the next day. Drunk people pounded on their friends' doors all night

The hôtel is old, very low quality, we booked two rooms, one for three people the window ws broken and the second room for two people was in the basement and was very smal, we couldn't even open the door which knock in the bed. This hotel is very expensive for a very low quality and very low service... I will never come back in this hotel! We were 5 friends there for one night. We travel a lot and never was disapointed like this before!

The staff was great and the place had an elevator (a slow one but it still worked). Room was very small but enough space to sleep and it was very clean. About what you would expect and right around the corner from Leidesplien and close to self service laundry an 80+ restaurants. Easy to get to becuase tram stop is 100 meters away.

Minus: It was too hot in the room. Keeping window open helped only a little bit. Plus: Room was little but sanitary (shower, WC, washbasin) was very clean and spacious. Personnel was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was maybe a little over normal continental standard. WLAN connection was free and worked fine all the time. Notable! If you're hurry, dont't use lift because that's "snailmodel";?) Summary: I recommend the hotel if the room space is not your main criterion.

Staff has been very inattentive with credit cards. They have charged my card "no-show fee", even though we have showed up. Luckily I had internet banking and booking confirmations saved on my laptop. After clearing up the situation they have refunded the fee back on my card, but as much as my card was in different currency I lost some amount of money in conversions. Otherwise the staff was OK. Hotel has a good location and easily accessible. Rooms are not great and have poor ventilation. If you have problems with breathing, or claustrophobic disorders, you won't like it. A friend of mine who had a room on a ground floor suffered a lot from poor ventilation and felt sick during whole stay. I was OK as much as I don't care about closed spaces. Price/Value ratio is somewhat OK. Overall experience was also not too bad.

This a budget hotel situated in an excellent location. The area is very pleasant and close to modcons. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very good coffeeshops nearby with plenty of space with comfy couch - one element that the coffeeshops in Old Centre fail to provide. Very close to tram stop therefore easily goes into town by tram.

The room was very small and noisy. In the web site they promised free parking in a public area near the hotel, but there was not such a thing and we had to pay 25 euros per day.

This was my first stay at Mozart Hotel. The location is very good, close to the center of Amsterdam, and quality of rooms is good. Very good relationship between price and quality. Rooms are a little bit too small but quiet. The overall stay was good

I enjoyed staying at hotel Mozart but wished there could have been a kettle and tea bags in the room itself, having to go downstairs and ask for help top make a tea and then get charged 1.50 euros was annoying. The staff were helpful and the rooms clean and quiet. The hotel was central and accessible 24hrs. Booking through this website did NOT include breakfast and we were NOT prepared to pay the 8.00 euro charge each for the privilege on top of room costs. We ate out which suited us better but juice or tea on demand would have made stay at Mozart better.

The room was at the back of the hotel, tiny and airless. I was there 3 nights and slept badly. I spent the last night on the floor close to the door to get a little bit of air. I have never been so uncomfortable in any hotel anywhere like this one. I have been to Amsterdam 8/9 times before without complaint!

When we first arrived, we were told that they overbooked us and would have to send us to another hotel. I told them that I wasn't really interested in going anywhere and would greatly appreciate if they would work out their error on their part. They did and found us a room for the entire reservation. The girls that worked at the reception were nice and helpful. The gentleman there, a long-haired guy who worked the night shift did not really want to be bothered..........ever. For the ammount of money it cost, I would not repeat this property in the future nor would I recommend it if you have other options.

We can recommend to stay in this hotel, because the location is absolutely beuatifull. The rooms are very small, but comfortabel. This is typically for the achitecture of the townhouses of Amsterdam. We will reside at hotel Mozart again, when we visit Amsterdam.

It seems that the walls are very thin, we heard everything around us. It was even not possible to have a normal conversation in our room because we thought, everyone on the corridor is able to hear us. So it didn't matter if the door was open or closed ... The look-out from our window was into another bedroom ... Very fantastic ... that means the curtains were closed the whole time! We ordered a smoker-room and got a no-smoker-room. I asked to change the rooms immediately but I only got the answer that there are no smoker-rooms available any more!!!! In summary we can say, that we will not book a room in this "hotel" any more! The cost-effectivness is horrible!!!!

The hotel is located right on the channel and within 2 minutes walk to Leidseplein. 20 more minutes and you walk to the Central Station, Dam Square and Red light District. For those keen of history, art and Museums, you are in the right location: Museum Square, Rembrandt Square, Anna Frank House, it's all in the neighbourhood. Flower market with incredible choice of types and scents is 2 channels away (10 minutes lazy walking). Restaurants are 5 per 10 sq.m. Lots of Argentinian and South American ones, and a really good one with fish called Oyster Bar. Want to rent a boat and travel thru the channels? Same 10 minutes to Herengracht. Friendly and helpful reception. Internet access. No mini bar, but a full vending machine in the lobby. Clean bathroom and room. Rooms are small, but you don't come to Amsterdam to stay in your room! Yes, most neighbours are noisy untill 3 a.m. But we did the same and no one had any discomfort. And (!) nobody was knocking at the door at 10 or 11 a.m. to clean the room. Actually, never heard them, but every day someone did it very good. Surely, recommended to stay!
