Hotel La Boheme is a small and inexpensive hotel in Amsterdam located about 220 yards/200 meters from the Leidse Plein, the main night life ditrict of Amsterdam. Around the hotel you will find ample choice of charming restaurants, bars, discotheques, and coffee-shops, and nearby there are also the famous clubs Melkweg and Paradiso.
Some of the most important museums in Amsterdam, like the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum, are within walking distance of the Hotel La Boheme, making it an ideal starting point for anyone, looking for an affordable accommodation for their sightseeing holiday in the city.
The hotel reception also serves as bar, where guests are always welcome to have a drink, or a chat. Several games, such as backgammon, chess and cards are available. Very good little hotel, clean and neatly organized, just an easy tram ride from Amsterdam's central station. The staff was very friendly and competent, and the breakfast was delightful. The place is unpretentious but it has the things that budget travelers like me care about: easy access to mass transit, safe surroundings, clean beds and bathroom and a good breakfast to start your day with right foot. I would stay there again any time and I strongly recommend it to any budget travelers visiting Amsterdam.

How to reach Hotel La Boheme
By train
Get off at Amsterdam Central Station: from here you can take tram no. 1, 2, or 5 to Leidse Plein. (Buy the ticket, the so called strippenkaart, at the station, or try to pay in the tram itself, which is more expensive). Get off at the Leidse Plein, turn right into Marnixstreet and you will see the yellow sign of the La Boheme Hotel soon after, on the right hand side.
By airplane
From Schiphol Airport: catch bus no. 370, taking you directly to the Leidse Plein. The bus stop is 200 meters away from the hotel (costs about €3,50).
Alternatively, you can also take one of the trains (running in less than 15-minute intervals) to the Amsterdam Central Station. Then follow the above directions (total cost: about €3,50).
Transport Services Hotel La Boheme
The hotel itself does not have any parking opportunities, but nearby there are some reliable parking places. A reasonably priced parking garage is Q-parking (formerly Europarking) on Marnixstraat (the price is about €28,00 for 24 hours).

Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. Check-out: it is necessary to leave the rooms not later than 11 a.m.
