Staff were friendly. The hotel facilities were very poor. Internet connection was very poor and slow whenever you managed to connect for five minutes. You could hear everything from everywhere. My room was on the ground floor and I didn't have privacy as it was visible from reception. Shared toilet and shower on a different floor. In general not good value for money.

Nice hotel for 2 or 3 nights, not far from city center. My friend was bitten by some insect, may be in the pillow. We have no proof. I would definitely book this hotel again for a next stay in Amsterdam.

Me and my friends really enjoyed our stay at flipper hotel. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. I found it surprising and great that there was a waterheatener in the room plus some instant products (tea bags, coffe, creamer, sugar), a good possibilty to first warm yourself up in this cold time of the year! The room was equipped with everything what you need: towels, sheets, pillowcases, blankets, shampoo, soap, table, TV and cupboard. The comfort of the beds was not perfect, but ordinary- no back pains;) I would recommend to take a room were breakfast is included in the price, as it was a well-balanced buffet- big, tasty and not expensive. And another big plus, you have time from 7-10a.m. to enjoy the meal:) The staff was friendly and helped us if we hade any questions. Unfortunately, it is a bit far from the centre, but doable for people who like to move at fresh air, as we did. Walking takes around 45 minutes, otherwise the trams are just around the corner. I would definitely book again at flipper hotel, next time I'm in Amsterdam. Its a good deal for everybody who wants to save money without suffering losses in quality:-)

Good Hotel. Location is very central, wi-fi works perfectly and the room was clean. Room cleaning wasn't provided one day cause of a staff problem. I would go back there.

This was a nice place. It was small, but if you are only sleeping there it is just fine. Its a bit far from the action, but thats reflected in the price.

Flipper is a nice hotel I can recommend to anyone going to Amsterdam, though I must confess the size of the hand basin was a little small for my personal taste.

The room was just a (really small) bed and a TV. There was no space enough even to tie my shoes or to put my bag in a convenient position. Because of this, the heating radiator was close to the bed. The only window couldn't be opened more than 5cm. The shared bathroom was really dirty, I think they didn't clean it for days (a lot of towels on the floor...). When I booked there, I was aware that the price was cheap for Amsterdam, but I expected a quality superior than a camping.

The staff is very professional and also personable. The property is very well maintained. Breakfast is quite a spread with fresh food and beverages daily. The hotel is located in a neighborhood and that gives you a feel of being part of the local Amsterdam experience. In terms of locale, the train station is a short (2 minute) bike ride away, several local restaurants plus the local supermarket are just a walk around the block. Loved it!!

Decent hotel on walking distance of the RAI (30 mins). A bit pricy in my opinion, but for Amsterdam and the location close to the RAI probably rather cheap. Breakfast was okay (good coffee!). Rooms are small though. Shared bathroom(s) seemed recently renovated.

This was my first vist to the Hotel Flipper staying there on my own the Hotel and location was ideal, with rail station, trams and restaurants all within easy walking distance. The Hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable, although my room was quite small similar to the seperate shower and toilet, it was adequate for me as i only used the room for sleeping in. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. Prices very reasonable which included a well presented buffet continental style breakfast. If you like spacious rooms and bit of luxury this hotel is not for you, but if you are looking for value for money and somewhere to sleep i would highly recommend it. I will certainly use this hotel again.

The room is a little small. And the public space is also a little small. But it really worth its cost. The stuff is really helpful especially for Chinese. We like its breakfast very much. There are many fruits here.

very nice hotel, especially for the price, which also includes breakfast. rooms are a little small, but certainly big enough if you basically just plan to sleep there and spend most of your time in town. no problems with shared bathrooms (sink in room). Not especially centrally located, but quick and easy access to sites by catching nearby tram. Very quiet location, which is nice.

we enjoyed our stay..the area was quite and easily accessible by tram into the centre. However, the rooms were tiny and so was the bathroom and shower room - maybe they need a size restriction or warning - no overweight or large people. the breakfast was ok. one critism was that there was no coffee in the bedroom - just tea bags and when we asked for some coffee they said they only supplied tea - so must remember to take coffee next time.

Really loved my stay here. As I was by myself my single room was small but very clean, functional and very well cleaned every day.It also had tea/coffee making facilities and tv in the room. The shared bathroom and toilet was spotless with daily cleaning and very modern decor. Morning breakfast was clean, filling and well presented. All the staff, from reception to cleaner were professional and welcoming. Also staying were young families / couples but Flipper was never noisy and no nighttime disturbance! The bonus was the No 4 tram is a five minute walk away and this is direct to /from Central Rail Station, Dam Square, and market. A brilliant place and I will be back.

Hotel Flipper is located in a neighbourhood but to get to the city centre takes you just 10-15 minutes by tram. We had a room with a new bathroom ensuite. It was clean and absolutely clean.
