Hotel des Arts is a friendly family-run hotel in a 17th century building. The hotel is located in the centre of Amsterdam, between the Dam square and the Munt tower, just behind the major high streets. Amsterdam's nightlife starts on the hotel's door step with the Rembrandt square virtually next door. Its ideal location makes a perfect starting place for your visit.
Hotel des Arts has 18 spacious and 2 smaller rooms. All rooms are equipped with private facilities, TV and room safe. In the lounge of the hotel you have Internet access for surfing, e-mailing and to find out what is on in the city. Many rooms have original beamed ceilings. The charming breakfast room is decorated in traditional Dutch style.The hotel stays open all night.
The minimum stay on the weekend is 3 nights, or 2 nights on request. Low season starts November 1st and ends March 31st. High season from April 1st to October 31st.

Absolutely perfect location in the centre of everything and by the water. Large, warm rooms beautifully decorated. Amazing prices for the location and standard. No criticisms to be made!

It was a bit disturbens from other room under our room, and it continued most of the night. If we are comming back to you hotel we would prefere a room not on the top floor, too many stairs. The staff was excellent, kind and helpful, thank you.

The Hotel des Arts is around the corner of a huge shopping mall and close to everything that you want to visit in Amsterdam. Specially when you rent a bike. We asked for a quiet room and got a very quiet one with nice furniture. The people who run the hotel are very friendly and very helpful -also the breakfast is ok. Of course Amsterdam is a very expensive city and the rate if the hotel is high. Nevertheless it´s a good value. If we come back to Amsterdam you would love to stay there again! Peter Harasim

Comodo, a due passi da piazza Dam e facilmente raggiungibile dalla stazione (anche a piedi). Personale simpatico, colazione abbondante (buffet) e servita in una sala accogliente. Il bagno in camera era nuovo e funzionale. L'igiene rientra nello standard dei paesi del nord. Attenzione! Non c'è l'ascensore quindi consigliamo le stanze in soffitta solo ai giovani! Purtroppo i prezzi x una stanza con il bagno sono davvero troppo alti in tutta Amsterdam.

How to reach Hotel Des Arts
By car
From the South: Den Haag/Schiphol motorway A4-A10 ring South.
From the East: Utrecht motorway A2-A10 ring East (Zaanstad).
From the North: Zaandam motorway A1-A10 ring East.
When reaching the A10 ring road exit at S112 Duivendrecht. From here go left at the traffic lights and follow the direction centrum. After 1 km turn right at the roundabout at the sign centrum into the Wibautstraat, later named Weesperstraat, follow for 3 km.
Take the roundabout, passing the twin towered church. Drive past the Waterlooplein, City Hall and Operah house. After the bridge take a left and continue until you reach the Rokin. The hotel is situated close to the tower on the Rokin.
By public transport
From Amsterdam Centraal Station take any of the following tram lines: 4, 9, 16, 24, 25. Get out at the stop Muntplein. The hotel is situated close to the stop.
By airplane
From Schiphol airport a hotel shuttle can be taken, the shuttle will drop you off at the hotel's front steps. Single tickets cost €10,50 and roundtrip cost €18,00.
A taxi from the Schiphol airport costs €35,00.
A train from the Schiphol airport will take you to Amsterdam Central station, from here a tram can be taken to reach the hotel, follow the above stated directions.
