Set in a historic, early 18th century building - once the home of an East India Company captain - Hotel De Munck is a family-run city hotel in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Located in a quiet street between the Amstel River and the green Frederiksplein park, this affordable lodging is within walking distance of the heart of the city and gives easy access by tram to the many museums and shopping areas, pubs and restaurants.
The hotel features bright, spacious and well-kept guest rooms, all fully equipped and practical. Hotel facilities include high-speed connection in the rooms (surcharge) and a sumptuous Dutch buffet breakfast.
The staff is extremely friendly with its guests, so don't worry if they want to know just about everything on you and your trip in Holland!
If you are traveling with your children, the hotel management can also provide the service of competent, multilingual baby-sitters or nannies (upon request).

How to reach Hotel De Munck
By car
Once in Amsterdam, follow directions towards the city centre and then to Fredericksplein park. The hotel lies just between Amstel street and the Fredericksplein.
By train
From Amsterdam central railway station, you can take tram no. 4 and get off at the 6th stop (Prinsengracht). Continue straight ahead and, at the end of the street, turn left. The Hotel De Munck lies approx. 300 metres/0.2 miles ahead on the left.
You can also take a taxi, the ride from the station will cost about €10,00.
By airplane
From Amsterdam Schiphol International Airport, reach the train station located underneath the airport and take the train to Amsterdam central railway station; the ride will take about 20 minutes. Then follow the above indications.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. In case your chosen hotel needs a deposit, this information will be included in the "Cancellation policy" section and the deposit will have to be settled directly with the pre-selected property. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE". In this case, the total amount of your stay will be charged to your credit card by the hotel at the time of booking.
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
Check-in: the rooms are available from 2 p.m. and until 10 p.m. Later arrivals are to be communicated 24 hours in advance.
Check-out: it is necessary to leave the rooms not later than 11 a.m.
INCLUDED/NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE
Transfers to the airport are not included in the price and cost €35,00 per car. A taxi van for bigger groups will cost around €40,00.
Baby cots are not included in the price and cost €10,00 per night.
Internet access (in select rooms only) is not included in the price and costs €5,00 per day.
