Discover divine cuisine in the restaurant Bord'Eau, the Hoofdstad Brasserie, or at Freddy's Bar. During warm summer days and evenings, guests can dine on the brasserie's terrace, a unique spot on the river which offers a wonderful view over the Amstel that adds pleasure to your lunch, dinner or drink.

My daughter was looking forward to her very first 5 start experience. Instead we found a very small room with stained carpets, empty fruit bowl and hair in the toilet and bathtub. The room was in worse shape then in a lot of 3 star hotels we stayed in Europe. One of the factors in chosing this hotel was the swimming pool. But we found that it was out of order when we were there. Amsterdam was great, and the location of the hotel was its best quality but next time we are there we'll go somewhere else. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking forward to a 5 star experience. The little Bulova shampoo bottles are not worth it.

We were very surprised to see how small the swimming pool was - about the size of a baby pool. The impression you get the swimming pool on the web site is misleading. Since the availability of pool was one of the important reasons we chose the hotel, we (our children) were disappointed.
Room Details
The rooms vary from luxurious single and double bedrooms to extremely grand suites with sitting rooms and one or several bedrooms. All feature replicas of paintings by Dutch masters.Guestrooms are equipped with king size beds or twin beds, individually controlled air-conditioning, mini bar, Internet access, alarm clock, radio, two direct dial telephones, satellite TV, and personal safe. Other amenities include iPads, iPod docking stations, and Bose surround sound systems. Bathrooms feature Arabesco-Carrara marble, heated floors, rainfall showerheads, plush robes, and Blaise Mautin luxury bath products.

How to reach De l'Europe Hotel
By carFrom the South: Den Haag/Schiphol motorway A4-A10 ring South.
From the East: Utrecht motorway A2-A10 ring East (Zaanstad).
From the North: Zaandam motorway A1-A10 ring East.
When reaching the A10 ring road exit at S112 Duivendrecht. From here go left at the traffic lights and follow the direction centrum. After 1 km turn right at the roundabout at the sign centrum into the Wibautstraat, later named Weesperstraat, follow for 3 km.
Take the roundabout, passing the twin towered church. Drive past the Waterlooplein, City Hall and Opera house. Turn right after the bridge along the river and follow for 200 metres. After crossing the river over a bridge, turn left after 50 metres, over a small draw bridge, entering the Nieuwe Doelenstraat. The hotel is located after 100 metres.
By public transport
From Amsterdam Centraal Station take any of the following tram lines: 4, 9, 16, 24, 25. Get out at the stop Muntplein. The hotel is situated a 100 metres from the stop.
By airplane
From Schiphol airport a hotel shuttle can be taken, the shuttle will drop you off at the hotel's front steps. Single tickets cost €11,50 and roundtrip €18,00.
A taxi from the Schiphol airport costs €35,00.
A train from the Schiphol airport will take you to Amsterdam Central station, from here a tram can be taken to reach the hotel, following the indications above.
