Recomendable. Cercano a la plaza de Leidseplein (terrazas y restaurantes con mucho ambiente), en una zona tranquila. Las habitaciones no son espaciosas pero están limpias. Cercano a hoteles de 5 estrellas (NH Hotel)

Staff was very helpful, giving clear directions to local sites and booking cabs when we asked. The wireless access on the ground floor is free and not difficult to use -- the staff provide the security key to use. There's a bar on the ground floor, two PCs with internet access, and a vending machine for drinks. The room was small, but sufficient for my stay and also very quiet. I was here on business travel, spending my free weekend in Amsterdam. This location is near the Rijksmuseum, The Van Gogh museum, the Hard Rock and Lido Casino, and one of the canal boat rides.

We stayed in the hotel for two nights our booking consisted of two double rooms. One of the rooms was fairly cramped the other was very spacious. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The steps leading into the hotel are very steep but there is a lift in the lobby so one can avoid the steep stairs. The only problem we had was on checking out. Venere quoted us 320 euros total stay for two doubles excluding local tax, the hotel tried to charge us 335 euros per room. I luckily had the print out of veneres quote and eventually the problem was resolved.

The Tulip Inn hotel rooms have been recently renovated and although small they are no smaller than most rooms available in Amsterdam. The price quoted by Venere did not include the local city tax of about 4-5% per night and the breakfast was expensive at €15 for what was available. It's fairly central to most attractions or a short walk to the tram and Leidseplein. The staff aren't the brightest bunch but they got the job done. I'd recommend this hotel as it is value for money being so central and free internet access is very handy in the bar/rec room. For the mature traveller a lift is always a big plus.

We stayed only 3 days in Amsterdam so the location of the hotel was very appropriate. The room was quiet and clean (the bathroom a bit small but fine for a short stay). We enjoyed a lot our stay there.

Good hotel with location just a few minutes away from the Leidseplein. However be wary of their internet directions, hotel website says two minute walk from Leidseplein but they don't give any other info and they can be hard to find unless you have a map with the street name on it.

Staff were particularly unhelpful. I had booked 4 rooms and they were dispersed throughout the hotel, they could not have been further apart and with 2 families with 4 children between us this was not satisfactory. The staff at reception were unsympathetic and not willing to help redress the situation in any way and in fact were verging on rude. I would not recommend the hotel to families with small children. I would not

This room was in a great location but the room was incredibly small for the price we paid. There was also some kind of mix up and they charged our credit card ahead of time (even though they weren't supposed to). Nice place, good common areas with free access to computers and Internet.

The room was clean and efficiently cleaned each day. The location, close to one of the most bustling squares in Amsterdam, is excellent. It is close to efficient mass transit as well. April was warmer than usual and the room did not have AC so I had to open the window. This allowed noises from the busy street just below to sometimes overwhelm the room. It often made sleeping difficult. The entrance steps would be a challenge to more frail people. Like many stairs in Amsterdam, those in the hotel are a challenge. Fortunately, there is a very small lift available. It is remarkably efficient; At no time did I have to wait for more than three or four minutes. My stay was 7 nights. In future trips to Amsterdam, if they were of this length, I would probably seek out a hotel freer of street noise at night. For a stay of a night or two, I would probably return.

Our room was very small, the bed was clean and we got a good rest. The carpet was dirty though and the bathroom looked a bit old. The staff was friendly and competent. We asked for a room to the back (a residential area) and except for someone shouting into his cell phone in front of our door early the first morning, the room was quiet enough. Leidseplein with restaurants and nightlife is a four minute walk away, the Anne Frank House, the flower market and the Houseboat Museum 10 minutes. The city center can be reached by foot, by streetcar (3 stops) or by tourist boat from Leidseplein. Would stay there again but bring house slippers.

Overall this hotel is a good choice to stay in Amsterdam, but the room price is not among the cheapest ones :-) The location is nearly excellent, you could reach the inner city in 2 minutes. Our room was spacious, but there were other parts in the hotel i haven't seen :-) Staff was helpful, but be careful: the day before you arrive the room and the breakfast price will be blocked on your credit card (no matter if you need the breakfast later or not). Also worth to have a copy of the confirmation letter. Breakfast for 15 euro/person is ridiculous: you can have a complete luch or dinner for this price in the city... The room was clean and well furnished, maybe the bathroom needs some renovation. By the way, it's a good choice, if you dont't want to be surprised.

The Tulip Inn Amsterdam Centre is located conveniently close to the Leidseplein, one of Amsterdam's main squares. The staff was friendly and helpful, my room rather small, but clean and quiet (facing the backyard). The elevator to the upper floors sometimes seems to take forever and a day to arrive. Using the very steep staircase is an option going up, but for my taste most definitely not when coming down. ;-) I cannot tell you anything about the breakfast, as that is charged separately (EUR 14,-) and one can get a decent breakfast for a fraction of that price nearby. Should you consider coming to Amsterdam by car, just don't do it as parking is usually prohibitively expensive. The hotel offers parking space (garage) for EUR 25,- per night. Public transport (tram) is easily available and definitely preferrable. Then again, nothing beats walking through the streets of Amsterdam. All in all, I can recommend the hotel and would come again.

Tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny room. However, very clean, modern furnishings, and reasonable bathroom (but also TINY). Good location with easy access to public transport options, walk to many attractions. Staff very friendly and helpful. Minuses, parking cost an extra 20 euro a day and we weren't informed of that despite asking in advance. They also added a tax to our bill when we were leaving which made the room not as cost effective as we had originally thought. Breakfast is not included in the price, and at 15 euro per person extra, you are better off taking a short walk and getting something somewhere else, there are plenty of reasonably priced cafes. Despite these small bumps, we had a really nice stay at the Tulip Inn.

Staff were excellent, mannerly and welcoming -indeed some of the best staff we have ever encountered in a hotel. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The only issue we had was the size of the room - it was like being Superman trying to change in a phonebox. The room was disappointing in this regard. The room didn't really match the price.

Clean rooms with bathroom. Small but it's usual in amsterdam. the walls are thin so you can hear your neighbour's tv and maids are very noisy in the morning. the area is quiet and the hotel is very near tram stations.

A very nice hotel, in a nice part of Amsterdam suitable for a weekend stay. The room was very nice, but we were given an upgrade due to the fact that they didn't have a room ready for us when we arrived. we had to wait in the lobby for over an hour while they sorted it out. Watch out for extra charges such as tax on the bill at the end of stay.
