I ordered a room with two friends and first we got a much to small room in the cellar! After a few argument we got a better room on the fifth floor. We had no air condition and it was two warm nights. But sleeping with the windows wide open was impossible because the surroundings were to loud. Another thing: If I book a room for three, it would be nice to find three coffee caps and glases and not only two!

Seems more like a 2 star, but given the other hotels in the area I think it was a good hotel for the money. Shower was terrible, beds were OK. At least it was clean. No perks, and internet in the room was not free. Internet in the lobby was just OK.

When we checked in we were given a room with 3 single beds facing onto the street. I asked for a double room but none were available until the following day. The room was uncomfortable and noisy, however the shower was good. The next day we were moved into a double room which was much more comfortable and quiet and we had a good nights sleep. The hotel is in a great location beside the flower markets but not on the canal as the photographs implied. The staff were extremely helpful.

The hotel is very nice and I would happily advice any traveller to book the hotel. Its location is very good, quite close to museum quarter and very close to shopping street, although not as close to Dam square as it was written on the web. The hotel environment was excellent, I especially loved the loung music they played in the lobby. I would only suggest the hotel to have a refrigerator in the room or machine in the corridors to have some soft drinks or water.

Great location very near the Flower Market. Easy access to the tram system. A bit noisy at night because it is on a main street. No air conditioning but they brought in small fans which did not help much. Restaurant in lobby is way overpriced but good small cafes very near the hotel and a much better value and better food.

Went on a family holiday, the first time I ahd stayed in this Hotel. It was a good location, and big rooms compared to others in Amsterdam. The walls were a bit thin. But overall an enjoyable stay.

Good location but very noisy. no air cooling equipement in the room and because the street closed to the hotel is very used, you cannot open the window. no car park. welcoming could be ameliorated.

Nice and cosy, in a very central position. Clean and spacious standard rooms, fair quietness, even in rooms on second floor. One problem: there is only one elevator and, while checking out..it was out of order! Luckily I was on second floor!

Unfortunately we were at the hotel in a heat wave and as our room was under a flat roof, it was unbearably hot. As no other rooms available, we were given a fan but still found sleeping difficult so changed to another hotel. This one was 4-star, but same price. Had more facilities in public area but rooms not as nice as at Albus which are very clean and very nicely decorated.

We discovered that breakfast was not included, and would cost 12€ per person. had I known this (it wasn't mentioned on the confirmation form) I would have chosen another hotel. For four people, it made a big difference. I showed them my print outs, they agreed that it was misleading - but too bad for us! Definitely- don't go! Also in full summer, impossible to buy a bottle of mineral water at the hotel.

I had an OK experience with the Albus Grand. The hotel lobby is very fancy and clean, however the moment you get off the elevator to your floor it's like it's a different hotel. There was an extremely annoying noise in the walls the whole entire night. Not sure if was water pipes or what. Was also unpleasantly surprised when we flushed the toilet for the first time and had to leave the room due to the sewage smell that came up from the drain. There are so many hotels to chose from in Amsterdam. When I do return I will NOT chose the Albus Grand.
