I went with my family and I do not recomend it. The right price for this place should be not more than 50 euros or less, I paid 180 on the second week-end of August, my worst experience in a hotel.

This hotel was a nightmare. We were there for business. But with very small rooms with thin walls, impossible to sleep. They told us that our bathroom outside our room was for us. I heard during the night that other people was using it because the door was so noisy when people opened it. Mean people at the reception. They don't care because they are close to the train station and they know that they will have unaware customers whatever they do.

The hotel is in the city centre on Damrak so ideal for groups who go to visit the city and stay out late night. Definetly not for couples no double room only twin rooms available!! The room is tiny but more or less clean and have private shower and toilet and have a room safe which is very handy. Best for groups who want a little bit more than a hostel.

The hotel is old, and there is no lift. It's very hard to carry your baggages upstirs. The room was very small and a little bit noisy, but the position of the hotel is ideal for people who want to enjoy every moment in Amsterdam. It is direct in the city center and you don't need any public transport to reach the main attractions.

El lugar estaba bastante sucio. Pasillos angostos y pocas comodidades. Se encuentra sobre una casa de comidas, por lo que hay olor a fritura las 24 horas. Sin embargo, su ubicación es excelente. Ideal para quien no tiene muchas pretenciones y permanece pocos dias.

For £80 a night I was Disgusted. For starters I booked a Double Room on the Internet and was given a Twin with two Singles pushed together. We had no Flush button on our toilet and had to stick our fingers in a hole to flush it, we had Dirty & Marked Sheets on the beds, the fire alarm sounded while we took a shower due to the steam and you could hear all that went on in neighbouring rooms. The rules were stupid, one of them being NO FOOD in your room, which was not stated on the Website 'Venere'. Overall a terrible stay and I would highly NOT recommend the Damrak Inn.

No phones in the tiny, tiny rooms. The room wasn't even 6 ft wide. No air conditioners. No elevator and lots and lots of stairs in a very narrow stairway. Some horrible, foul smell coming from the small bathroom. Had to keep the door to the bathroom shut to avoid the noxious odor. No internet capabilities either. One the positive side, the folks working there were cooperative and helpful. If you are young and single, don't mind slumming and can get it for a ok price, this would be tolerable. Not for the older crowd and not for children or a romatic getaway. The free breakfast was, at best, better than nothing.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in - only in Amsterdam for one night. Checked into hotel, took our money via credit card then told us there were no rooms! But that they weren't able to refund us! Eventually found us a room after about two hours. It was disgusting - dirty and damp and a complete rip off! We ended up having to sleep in our clothes as the sheets were filthy. It was also full of mosquitos - they ensured us they would get us some fly spray but even after a five hour wait, it didn't materialise. Ended up with several bites. We were woken in the early hours of the morning by someone knocking on our door to ask if we had a spare bed! The staff were rude and incompetent. The only plus point was the location. We didn't even attempt breakfast, we just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. This hotel should be shut down or at least removed from your website. Avoid this at all costs! I would have rather have slept on the streets.

Not suitable for senior persons. No lift and the spiral staircase is very very narrow. Very difficulty to get help to take luggage up to or down from the upper floor. Although the male receptionist on duties in the afternoon was very helpful to seniors but when he was off, no one care to help at all. Room 12 is extermely hot like owen because just below the room is the kitchen of a fast food restaurant. Luckly we managed to change to a upper floor after one night stay. But face with difficulty of taking luggage down from the upper floor after our stay. We are 3 seniors of age 70+

The hotel meet my standars. The rooms are a little bir narrow but it's very central and walkign distance for the most important areas. Just 5 minutes from the central station (walking distance) in a very busy area during the night. Perfect for a short vacation!

I was extremely disappointed with the Damrak Inn. First of all, one had to climb a ridiculous flight of stairs just to get to the reception. The angle of the stairs was difficult enough without carrying luggage. I almost didn't fit with my 50 lbs of luggage and I am very strong, but had difficulty carrying my bags up these stairs to a total of four flights. I also felt way overcharged for my room which was small and had a slanted wall. I felt like we were taken advantage of becasue of a convention in the area. Lastly, there was an odor in the room that was so bad when we returned from touring, that it caused tears in our eyes. We had to open windows and turn on the fan and wash down all the sinks. We still never found out what it was and when we told the front desk manager the next morning at 5am, he blew it off as no big deal. Ultimately it wasn't but I will never stay at this hotel again and recommend that nobody else does either. A youth hostel has the same quality accommodations minus the nice clean bathroom. I have stayed at other Nenere Hotels and this was extremely disappointing.

they have mice, for God's sake !!!!!! The mice walk on the bed when you are sleeping !!!!! no air conditioning - verry hot in the room and very loud outside. The bathroom was for MIDGETS. If you have more than 1,60 m and 45 kg - stay home, or take a chamber pot with you and for your shower go to the park and use the sprinkler (don't get me wrong it is about the size) But, it is all about our room with 4 beds.
