We loved our room. It was clean, quiet and spacious and the beds comfortable. Our 17- year old son got a bed on his own, not the usual coach like in other hotels. Buses and trams stopped right outside the door, even the bus to the airport! The staff was friendly, happy and helpful. Our only wish would be that breakfast should be included........ or cheaper.

Perfect place for visiting Amsterdam. Quiet, clean, near by the tram station 5 and 16 which are going to Central Station.

Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. The reseption was friendly, helpfull and very service minded. We stayed in a spacious room, windows facing the garden. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was basic english style. All in all a pleasant stay.

We really loved staying in this hotel. Good location - very close to the park, and the museums. Tram stations very close too. The room was big and comfortable, and also really clean. The staff was helpful and friendly, providing all the information we needed. The breakfast was good, but didn't worth the price, in our opinion, so we only had it in the first day.

Love the gye from the reception (Rul). He made almost an excursion, explaining the surroundings and sights of Amsterdam.

Too expensive for the quality of services. We asked if we could pay in cash. The woman in the reception said yes, there are no problem. For our security, we left a bill of 500€ in the hotel during all our stay in Amsterdam and by the check-out she did'nt accept our bill. (Please note that our bill in the hotel was about 385€.) We left all our luggage in the hotel, went to a Change-House, we paid 5€ for changing and when we arrived at the hotel to pay with changed money, she still had used my credit card number to pay the hotel. We travel a lot and it was the first time someone did this to us. You see: all our luggage where there. She knew that we will return. She wasn't there, there was another employe, but we consider that, one unforgivable abuse. We had a short time to get our plane and only for this, we didn't call an authority.

un,fortunately there were renovations going on while i was there, handrails should have been replaced as a priority from a safety aspect.the bed room lighting could be updated.lights were far too dull.there was no bar which was advertised on the web.

Charming, central situation, kindly, friendly and quiet hotel. Just a precision: the hotel had reformations works and we wasn't advised. Communication is very important for customers’ confidence. Next time it's better to explain the situation before. We'll return and we'll recommend it.

The staff was very welcoming, helpful and accomodating. The rooms have very old carpet that is stained and in need of replacement. The location gives good access to the mueseums and the tram to the center stops just a minute down the street. We found the cost to be very high for what you get but I think that is just the way it is in Amsterdam. The doors did not have any sound insulation so you could clearly hear people talking in other rooms.

Friendly and emphathetic staffs, especially the master. Really close to museum plain and Concertgebouw, quet and fine area. Approx 15minutes to central city by tram. There are nice restaurants and cafes aroud the hotel. Facility is simple and not the latest, but enough and clean.

Fabulously friendly family run hotel in a superb location right across the road from concert hall and easy 5 min walk to major museums. Tram stop right across road and good instructions from owner on how to use public transport. Cafes close by for breakfast, hotel one expensive. First hotel in Europe we stayed at that had tea/coffee in room!

Gracious, helpful staff; light-filled breakfast area overlooking Oriental-themed courtyard; well designed space; close to museums; carpet in rooms worn but otherwise good amenities.

My daughter and I were thrilled with our stay at Hotel Museum Square. The quality offered for the price was absolutely excellent. The staff were more friendly and helpful than any I have enountered in any of my travels. The location was ideal -- a little bit removed from the frenzied centre of Amsterdam, but still within walking or tram distance of all the sights. I would highly recommend this property.

The hotel staff was wonderful but the hotel itself left alot to desire. The carpeting througout was stained and old. The lighting in the rooms was poor and the rooms were very small. The whole hotel could use a face lift. It was also quite far from most of what we did in the city except for a few mueseums.

The best thing about the hotel is its location near the major museums. The room was ok but quite noisy as it was facing a big street. The breakfast buffet was nice but overpriced. Well, this is Amsterdam. Nothing is cheap.

HOTEL SITUADO MUY CERCA DE LOS MUSEOS VAN GOGH Y RIJHS. HABITACION AMPLIA Y SILENCIOSA. TIENE CAFETERA Y ESTÁ BIEN, PERO SIN NINGÚN TIPO DE LUJO. RECEPCIONISTAS SUPER-AMABLES, Y 2 DE LOS 4 SABÍAN HABLAR ESPAÑOL Y NOS INFORMARON DE BASTANTES COSAS. EL PRECIO ES CARO PERO PARA SER AMSTERDAM NO TANTO.

Turned out to be an inspired choice; you get good location, great service and very nice rooms for not too much money. And it's the small things that make the difference, like the refrigerator being just an empty refrigerator rather than stuffed with expensive stuff and unfit to use for your own things. It's quite a walk from the city centre (but close to the museums and tolerably close to Leidseplein for the nightlife and food), but the tram system is excellent. Overall a very pleasant experience, would stay again.

Nice quit hotel, away from crowds but all attractions in walking or tram distance. No noisy guests to keep you awake.Good value for money. We were convinced the beds were enchanted as they were very comfortable, very soft[we have a firm one at home]and very hard to get out off.As other guest have commented"home from home".Would definetly stay here again.Across the road is the concert hall were you can watch for free "spirit of gambo" at 12.30 lunchtime on wednesdays.

Excellent location for Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh museum and Concertgebouw. Nice quiet area, lots of restaurants and (very nice, expensive)shops nearby, very convenient for public transport. Short walk to Leidseplein nightlife, longer walk into city centre, but not impossible. Amsterdam feels very relaxed and safe compared with other cities. Hotel room very small and a bit shabby but clean, comfy beds, good bathroom and facilities - fine for 3 days. Helpful and pleasant staff. Recommended for a no-frills stay, but well sited.

The room was very nice with a great bed. The employees were unusually helpful and friendly--some of the best I've ever dealt with. The front desk receptionist patiently described several things for me when I arrived dazed and jet-lagged. The location can't be beat--a short and pretty walk to the museums and good restaurants around the corner. The room was very clean--the only criticism was that the carpet was stained in a number of places but this was trivial. I'm looking forward to staying at the hotel again.

We stayed at a twin room facing back yard. It was very quiet. We could hear birds singing in a morning. The room was clean although the heating pot was a bit dirty. The hotel staff kindly changed it to a clean one right away. Good breakfast. Good price. Close to museum plain and accessible to all area in Amsterdam.

We found this hotel an excellent choice for our purposes (van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, a rijsttafel, Concertgebouw). We did all this on foot easily. Quiet, safe residential area. Trams take about 20 minutes to RR station. Hotel was clean, room spacious, breakfast (included) generous and in a nice dining area, service desk friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel unless you seek nightlife.
