The single room is tiny i.e. very tiny and hotels in Amsterdam generally have shot up so I would not recommend this property if you like space. There isn't enough space for a proper wardrobe so it is pk for one night or maybe two but not longer stays. My comment is only on the single room. The wi-fi connection was fine. Everything else was fine, I didn't have breakfast as I though 15 euros was a bit steep, they did offer 12.50 if you agreed to have breakfast there when you checked in but I did not take it up. You need the hotel's entry card to use the lifts from reception.

Great location and friendly staff. The bed was very comfortable. The room was nice and clean, my only issues: - The hotel was really quiet except for the doors of the rooms next to me - The room was really dark, even with the lights on - Coffee/tea not replenished So only really small things, I would stay there again and I would definitely recommend it.

Hotel was very good with its perfect location in the heart of city. Room was stylish, very clean and services were quite good. Beside written pros the only con that I can say is room's size. It was so small that two person can hardly stay especially if you have a respectively large luggage.

These rooms are compact but very adequate for a couple, cleanliness and comfort excellent. Would not recommend for non couples as twin beds cannot be moved apart, it is more like a King size bed with separate sheets and doona. Privacy in glassed bathroom might be inadequate for non couples but still private enough. Staff business like and polite but front desk often long wait due to not enough staff attending at check in and check out time which I am sure contributes to stress at your first contact point. Room individually air conditioned which was greatly appreciated. Beds and bedding are of a top standard in comfort level. Free wifi in rooms. Location was fantastic and within easy walking distance of the Central Station, red light district, shops, cafes etc. Breakfast was expensive at 15 euros but many places outside to eat at better prices. We paid 98 euros per night but would not pay 149 which is the rate they wanted for an extra night. We thought after already staying two nights they would have given us a third at the same rate saving the staff re making the room but they would not. Don't stay on a Friday or Saturday night to take advantage of the better rates.

Poor lighting.Toilet space built for a very slim person. During the day I used toilet in lobby.Bowl in bathroom not practical. May look modern, but hard to gauge where it became the bowl and not the edge. Didn't drain very well. Tap near bowl rim hard to get cup under. Door in shower not fitted properly water all over bathroom floor.Slippery. Water pressure in shower went up and down.Plastic chairs not comfortable. Layout of room terrible. Desk behind bed. When I was writing at desk, had to get up or other person had to rollover bed to get around. Bed up against wall? What if guest was over 6 feet?! Pillows 3/4 size uncomfortable. Requested wake up call did NOT happen. Luckily I was awake.

Good location, nice hotel, but grossly overpriced, especially w/o breakfast. Two straight guys traveling don't like sharing a bed, and that's what we got despite advanced communications with the hotel-they just shrugged like take it or leave it. Very nice with the locked luggage storage if you arrive early or depart late. The room's clear glass sink was unusual and I'll get one for my home someday.

It was the first time we stayed at the hotel. Tbe room was very small, but it was clean. The staff was helpful. The pillows were too high and they didn't have other type, but they "solved" it by providing us more towels. The hotel has a good location, it is five blocks from "Amsterdam Central Station" and in the middle of down town. It's easy to reach everywere from the hotel.

Smart design of the rooms that combines comfort and elegance. Furniture and everything in the room is new and clean. Staff is friendly. There is a small shop on the 1st floor where you can buy water, juice sandwiches 24 hour a day. Very good luggage storage service. Security is on hight level. Breakfast is expensive, better to find a meal in the nearest cafe.

Little insulation with next room, and lots of plumbing noise - especially the adjacent room's flush was as if there was no wall separating the two bathrooms. Wireless did not reach the room, which was at the corner of the floor. Yellow walls and brown carpets a bit tired. Bathroom facilities very modern, and very clean.

The room we stayed in was very small and uncomfortable and without sufficient ventilation. Localicalizacion of the hotel is very good, near the station and the Dam, everything can go walking, and when you get tired at the hotel, the least you expect is a comfortable room to rest. Anyway, a young couple, perhaps could stand it, but in our case, we are a mature couple. Anyway Amsterdam y a beatiful city so his people.

We arrived at 11.30pm and given a standard room which faced the main street and was very noisy. The room was small but clean, comfortable, central to everything and reasonable priced. The staff were helpful and friendly.

My Partner and I travelled to Amsterdam for the 2nd time and stayed at the Westcord. We were happy at this hotel and enjoyed our stay. We stayed in a Star room on the 5th floor and decided to go for the view with possibly more noise, although with the window closed and aircon on, it was no problem at all. Great location, a little querky with a glass bathroom, but fitting of Amsterdam.

This hotel is good for location - not far from the Central station but just away from the tackiness of the Red Light district. The rooms are laid out a bit peculiar with the head board of the bed the wrong way round - done, I guess, so that a TV can be mounted on the wall. The shower/WC is a glass box built into the room - with frosted glass in the important places. All a bit strange and liberal - but then that reflects Amsterdam as a whole. You'll find better value further afield but if you want location then this does the job. Beware there's no inclusive breakfast, and a 5% city tax seem to make all Amsterdam 3 star hotels the most expensive in western europe!

Excellent location, only 5 minute walk from the main train station, across the street from the red light area and city center. We stayed 3 days and enjoyed the location and hotel. The room was smaller with regular double bed, but very clean and comfortable with all that a 4 star hotel has to offer like shampoo, lotion, shower cap, coffee and tea which was very nice to have in the room after a day of touring the beautiful city of Amsterdam. We enjoyed our stay and would come back. The check in time is a little late at 3:00pm and it would have been nice to have Wi-Fi Internet connection included in the price.

The rooms are clean and simple and the hotel is ideally positioned, being a short walk from the station, Dam Square just down the road etc. I stayed in two different rooms on my stay and would recommend the rooms on the street side of the hotel because the ones on the inside were incredibly stuffy, and the roads aren't that noisy, so all-in-all you get a better nights sleep. That aside, no problems.

I was offered an upgrade (for an additional 20 Euros a night) at check in and am glad that I took it. The room was spacious (by European standards) and otherwise I would have been in a room that had not been renovated. Just one details: we ask for a nice room, (not an upgrade!) and they told that that because we booked by Venere and it was an offer they can give us the cheapest room they have. A nice hotel, very good location although it feels a bit close to the more "dangerous areas". If I go to Amsterdam in the future I will probably choose a hotel more away from the central parts of the city. It is overall a very nice hotel, but they charge €15 for breakfast so I really recommend to buy your breakfast outside instead. There are some really nice places just 5 minutes away. If you stay here, make sure to get a room with windows away from the big street. We had rooms with windows to the smaller street behind the hotel and it was very quite.

But During the night even having the air conditioning turned off into the room, from the air circulation tube you can smell the cigars smaoke. Basic hotel but in an excellent location. The room is little more than a bed facing a TV, with the bathroom only partially obscured by frosted glass. If you're sharing, make sure you know your companion well and they don't snore!

I was surprised to find that a deluxe star room was no bigger than a broom closet and our 3rd floor view was of an interior shaft right above a noisy air conditioning unit or some such machine. After one night we were switched to a larger room for the remaining 2 nights and this made a huge difference. It seems all the rooms are petite but quite cute and do not provide much privacy (swinging glass door to the bathroom which doesn't have a bath, shower only....) Way overpriced breakfast and internet....lot's of stuff in the area though so we didn't have to pay those exhorbitant prices. Good juice/smoothie place just round the corner. Hotel location terrific.Close to Central Station.

room was very nicely, & uniquely, decorated. bed very comfortable xcept its 2 twins put together. bathroom ensuite, very nice & spacious but has partially frosted glass walls on the interior of room so limited privacy. great location to downtown. tram stop close. if to stay during queensday (4/29-30) don't get streetside if you don't like noise. (we were too tired to care and slept like babies!)

Great location, close to train station. Funky decor, quite small room, but good enough. Our early check-in request was not accommodated (11 a.m.) so it was tough to walk around Amsterdam for 3 hours with a jet lag. It may turn off people who've never been to Amsterdam if the hotel says that they are smack in the middle of the Red Light District, because it is. But the red light district is fun, safe, harmless, touristy, but not for little children.

The hotel is in the perfect spot, close to everything. Plenty of places around to get a breakfast , brunch, lunch etc. Because of its refurbishment the public areas and rooms are just great! Nicely designed interiors, spotless, non-smelly, quiet rooms (but during the working week there is a noise from rooms being refurbished, but not during weekends!) comfortable bed, tea/coffe facilities; funny bathrooms with glazed walls. We had a room overlooking the back (pedestrian?) street, 3rd floor, we could see a cat wandering on the roof-tops ;) They didnt complain about us living the room around noon every day; the only minuses is the lack of the mini-bar or just a fridge, and all the switches to all the lights that are located near the bed are exactely between the pillows, so everytime you move your pillow- you switch on/off something :D Definitely - recommended!!!

There was a lot of work taken place in the hotel when i stayed there. I got no confirmation from the hotel to tell me that this was taken place. There was a very high volume of noise from workmen at very early times of the morning. I was there to relax, not to stay in a building site. I had a very poor stay.I will probley never stay here again because of this.I will not be recommending this hotel to any of my family or friends

We paid 80 euros via Venere when the room costed 240 euros if you book it directly in the hotel. Nice, clean and in the perfect place, near to the station, in a street with 4 or 5 tram lines. We serioulsy recommend it!

Just a few minutes away from the Central Station, with trams stopping outside the hotel, this is a good location for anyone who wants to have the city at their fingertips. Despite the location beside a main road, noise levels were not disturbing, even with the window open. The Star room (apparently a deluxe room) had a decent standard incl. air conditioning, though it was a bit small. The glass cubicle that is the bathroom was novel but otherwise up to notch. We didn't eat any meals at the hotel since it only offers a continental breakfast buffet. The restaurants and pubs within 50-100 meters of the hotel offer much more sumptious breakfasts (pancakes, full English, etc) for much less than what the hotel charges. I'll stay here again!

The hotel is in a good location. Redlight district is 2 blocks away. Public transportation is readily available. Breakfast was good, but added 12 euro to the bill. The room was very clean, although on the smallish side.

The hotel was in a great location and within walking distance of all the major sites. The hhotel was clean and the staff helpful. Be aware that the french breakfast is a coffee/tea and a croissant, although a buffet breakfast is available at extra cost. We stayed in the basic room which was very comfortable but if you have an extra 20 euros you should go for the star rooms for a more modern look.

This hotel provides two kinds of breakfast; one, very poor in the hall (coffe, tea and croissant) and another, a rich one, in the restaurant. First kind of breakfast is included in room price while you must pay 10 Euros for the second one. Carpet in our room was very dirty with some big red stains under the table. We spent 4 days in the hotel and we will not return there in future.

We requested our reservation far in advance yet when we arrived we were told the type of room we wanted was not availabile and we would neet to upgrade to a higher priced room that was EXTREMELY tiny. I did not think they could make a room that small.

STAR rooms are new fashion. Thay have been remodelated and looks modern and nice. Reality is much better than some nternet photos. Front rooms with some noise (from trams), but you can ask for rear (very quit). Breakfast with coffe and excelent croisant included and buffet available (+7€) at your choice. Excelent location, near centarl station, city center and trams lines.

The room is nice, and the location is great, there is a tram station just in front of the hotel. But the price is a little bit high due to the location. The room is quiet due to the double glass, even it faced the street I won't here anything, which is good. I reccomend this hotel.
