CitizenM Hotel Amsterdam Airport - Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam

The room is too small with no furniture except for one chair. We couldn't even unpack, since there wasn't even one drawer. Absolutely no privacy. The toilet and the shower are in the room and you can hear everything. The Wifi was working very good. The room is very clean, the bed is comfortable.

Room was bit too small for 2 persons

The Citizen M has a great location about 3 minutes from the closest door of the Schiphol shopping plaza (look for the Starbucks, continue to the revolving doors, and take the covered walkway to the hotel). The hotel serves a diverse audience (everyone from young people in backbacks to older travelers with Hartmans) and does it with a whimsical atmosphere and style. The rooms feel larger than they are, with huge windows and giant beds, and there's even a tiny desk in each room. The lobby has three large, attractively decorated lounges, a pleasant bar, free computers and laptop stations with Wi-Fi and Ethernet plug-ins, and a picnic table for smokers outside. (Don't light up in your room, or you'll get hit with a 150-euro fine.)

Slightly overpriced for hotel with small rooms and outside Amsterdam (ie. next to the airport) although the service is quite good. Prices for drinks and food at the Hotel are certainly very expensive. Could get Cappuccino for half the price at the airport (7 minute walk)

Good stay at a convenient location

Interesting concept, with lots of "do it yourself" aspects (checking in, out, etc). Plenty of helpful staff around (trying too hard to be your friend -- reminiscent of Club Med), so it isn't clear why not have them doing the work? The rooms are interestingly designed, so be sure that you only share one with someone having no privacy issues for showering or toileting! Very comfortable bed. Excellent location for Schipol -- really less than a 4 minutes walk to the terminals (at the end near Terminal 4).

Very functional, rooms are small to say the least, don't unpack too much luggage as there is no place to put it.

Interesting room. Very small but efficient and functional. Everything operated by remote control in room. Creative use of a small space. Very clean with a comfortable bed and amazingly quiet for an airport location.

Breakfast is very mediocre and expensive. We were with four travellers and when we took the second 'Nutella' the staff told us 'They are not for free, hey!'.

Great for the single business person flying in and out quickly. Great access to airport. Very soundproof. Never heard a single plane coming in or out. (However, for two people completing a two week cruise vacation with lots of luggage, it was a bit crowded in the room.) Very innovative design. Loved your check in and out procedure. Very easy to walk to airport. (So glad you provided luggage carts.) You need to build more in the USA.

IF you have a layover and want to get some sleep and a fresh shower before your trip continues, this is a great deal. Weird room at first, but the room is great for sleeping and getting washed up. The staff is very cool as well. The make sure you needs are met.

Stayed for 1 night in a double room at the Schipol airport Citizen M hotel. Hotel walking distance to the airport. Staff very friendly. Room size is perfect for a couple. Bed is so comfortable. Separate toilet and bath are very modern. Mood lighting a plus. Will definitely stay at one again and recommend to family and friends.

Closer than we expected, only problem was the system did not accept our VISA which had NO hold or problem anywhere else we used it that day or after, if we didn't have another credit card we would have been in big trouble. Otherwise we were thrilled.

If you're sick of large shabby "standard" hotels, then this place is for you. Efficient, high build quality, clean, fresh and very, very different. Modern, almsot futuristic -not somewhere your granny would enjoy!

My ONLY disappointment was the food, there could have been more fresh food for breakfast.

I don't often say this about hotels, but this time I definitely would return to the CitizenM hotel group. A unique and positive experience ideal for business people and travelers needing online facilities and quiet spaces to talk/discuss/meet colleagues or friends. Above all, the bed was superbly comfortable and inviting. Only real criticisms are : 1) although beautiful, the hand basin pedistal was far too high for comfort - I suffer from back problems, but a small adult or child would need to stand on a chair to wash their face ! 2) Furniture was non-existent apart from an uncomfortable and inadequate seat beside the bed. 3) no bench or stand for a suitcase.

The CitizenM is a good layover hotel before or after a flight. Very limited room size, but had a great bed, extra pillows, a good TV and was clean

great accomodation and many services, wi-fi- baggage room,n. 4 mac free use, nice technological solution in the room , excellent silence

I loved very much this hotel. I liked the decor, the modern furniture, the bright colors, the room. In the lobby there were Mac computers, very conveniently located before elevators. I could not stop from trying one and surfing the internet. A few imperfections: the remote in the room was not working for temperature control - the room was cool for me. Excepting this, it was an excellent experience. I will come again.

The hotel is great for a short stay due to the size of the rooms, very convenient and close to the airport. Extremelly easy to check in, very modern lay out.

Best Airport Hotel! Walking distance from Airport and short train ride into Amsterdam Central. Ultra modern, compact, efficient room - a most interesting concept and hope more Citizen M Hotels spring up here. Very high-tech..loved it all.

Great hotel for an overnight stay before catching a morning flight. Small, highly functional rooms - but I wouldn't mind staying in such a room in the city either. Clean. Efficient check-in/-out. Would have preferred free WiFi, but oh well. Just a 5-min walk from Schipol.
