Other hotels in the area offer cleaner, larger, more luxurious rooms for a lower price. The bathroom was not well cleaned; when we arrived, there were hairs in the sink and used and leaking shower gel packets on the counter. Plastic cups were provided but they were not sealed. Walls are very thin and doors bang throughout the premises. Even the banging office door on the ground floor causes much of the building to vibrate. Upon airport pick-up, the driver and his friend spoke loudly in a language other than Dutch and complained about the fact that they had to pick me up. Checkout was unpleasant as the hotel seemed to be understaffed. You need to walk 1 km to the bus stop for Amsterdam. Be careful of the pillows: one of our party had an allergic reaction.

While this was not my first international trip, this was my first trip alone, and I was a bit nervous as I heard that hotels in Europe do not have the same standards as hotels in the states. However, I was more than impressed. The room was very comfortable, clean, and had more room than I expected. The staff was MORE than helpful and very friendly. It is a short ride into the inner city via public transportation (although make sure to get the right one. THere is a bus that charges 4 euro a trip and another (tram) that charges 1.65 euro a trip) I would definitely recommend this hotel to any traveler to Amsterdam. Also they offer a free shuttle to and from the airport (just make sure that you have booked the room with a credit card.) 5 stars all the way!

Airport pickup was the reason we booked this room, and when we called we were told 20 minutes and pick up at B14. We waited in the cold for 48 minutes and finally they pulled up to C11. Driver - owner -was checking a store receipt most of the time he drove us to the hotel, instead of watching the road. Once there, you were pretty much of a captive..there was nothing in the area. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel dining room. The food was wonderful! Good thing, since there was no where else around to go. Room itself was clean and comfortable.

This place is a dungeon - far away from everything - except the airport maybe, rooms are rotten and they take zombies as staff (which most of the time, btw, are absent). Basically, the don't care about anything and you can read it on their face from a mile away.

The hotel in itself ain't too bad. However, porr quality service; I've asked the night before for the shuttle to come in the morning and to be warn before, the reception forgot to do so and the shuttle left, so had to wait the next one 45mns later to go to the airport. Breakfast not advised, poor quality and expensive. A bit far from Amsterdam center, check out bus time table if you don't have your car as there are not much of them.

Only one airport transfer per stay allowed. Once you arrive, you are stuck in the little town until the nrxt day.

Not too far from Amsterdam, but you need to take a bus and a train to the city. 2.4 euro for the bus and 1.8 euro for the train one way. Taxi costs around 30 euro to come back at night. Would rather pay a little extra to stay closer in the center at least so i can get one train or bus to it. A bit pricey for that distance.

Me and my girlfriend went to hotel Zwanenburg when England played a friendly football match in Holland in November 2006. Amsterdam was too full at the time so we decided to stay somewhere just outside. On the whole we paid for what we got - it was cheap and cheerful. The rooms were simple, but clean, and the hotel owner gave us a room in a wing which we could get at without having to come through the main building - ideal for coming back late after enjoying the Amsterdam night-life. We didn't really have any food in the Hotel, but the town itself is only round the corner and there were plenty of restaurants and takeways offering food at very reasonable prices. The Hotel bar was pretty decent though, which stayed open til at least 1am every night. There was also a nicely decorated pool room with big screen TV showing football. The only gripes we had were that the manager didn't understand that we paid AT THE END of our stay and not when we got there. This did worry us at the start because we weren't due to get paid from work until mid-way through our break, and so only had enough money for food etc. However, it didn't take much for us to talk the manager around and eventually he was fine to let us pay at the end. On the whole though, most staff were friendly enough. Also, although it is relatively easy and cheap to get from the town to Amsterdam (the bus stop is 5mins round the corner from the hotel and takes you directly to a train which is only a further 10mins to the city center) it can be expensive to get back after midnight as the buses and trains stop running then. Instead, you have to spend out on a taxi which can cost over 25 Euros depending on how hard you want to barter. However, if you refuse to move from that price someone will eventually agree to take you there, and if there are more than 2 of you it will of course work out cheaper. All in all, not a bad place for those on a budget or someone who can't get a hotel in Amsterdam if there is

Normal. Poca amabilidad de los recepcionistas. Mi problema fue que la habitación estaba justo encima de la mini recepción y sonaba continuamente el teléfono.

The hotel was neither close to the airport nor to amsterdam - the shuttle bus provided to and from the airport was therfore vital. Breakfast was adequate.

Far away from everything ( if you ask for directions they will tell you that is just arroun the corner but is about a mille away for one of the bus stops you will need to take it is far when is verry cold and you have to walk specially with the wind and rain. alot of stains in the carpet that make the room feel filthy. no air conditioning they did not have our reservation they said that it was Venere's fault. And one more thing but not the last one our Check in took 1 hour. will never go back in my life. not even for free. I will stop here They have hard working personal (1) and I respect him. ( May be the owner ?) but for example wen I Ask the bar tender for a bucket of ice for my room his best deal was a glas with ice well sorry for this coments but there is more i have the pictures i you want them.

Lovely hotel. The food was really overpriced. Eat up the street at the bakery. Much better taste and price wise. The internet did not work and the rooms were a little small. It is a nice train ride into town. It is not in Amsterdam proper.

I would not recommend. This hotel is far from the city centre, it is not clean and the staff (for the most part) is not helpful.

The hotel is pretty good for several reasons. First is the free shuttle to/from airport. Second is that it's relatively close to Amsterdam and so you get cheaper and more spacious accomodation than in Amsterdam. It may be hard to find the bus stop though. Be advised that you have to pay 8 euro for the breakfast ONLY if you want to take food with you. I was not explained that, so I paid 8 extra euro and had to take some sandwiches along :)

Overall the hotel was of a good standard. It was a little quiet when we were there, for the first day we thought we were the only ghuests! The hotel was a fair distance from Amsterdam itself, it was a ten minute walk to the bus stop then a 15 minute ride to the centre. I would be happy to stay there again

The hotel was outside of the city center in a small town, but was easy to reach by bus and train (bus stop about 2 blocks away). The staff provides detailed information for getting public transportation. The staff was excellent and provided service "above and beyond". I would stay here again on a future trip.
