With extensions added in 2001, 2002 and 2006, Castro Hotel lies in the middle of Amoudara town, 300 m away from the famous sandy beach.
Located just 5 km away from the centre of Heraklion City the hotel has 78 luxurious rooms and 4 suites, all recently renovated.
By the swimming-pool you will find the pool-bar, where you can enjoy, apart from a relaxing swim, many refreshments and various cocktails. Sunbath in the garden and watch the kids in the pool designed especially for little guests.

Large clean rooms, elevator, near the beach & the bus stop, good choice of rotating items on the cold breakfast buffet. Friendly helpful staff, family run. Walking distance to restaurants, stores, & car rentals. The entrance to the National Road is 2 blocks away. The only part I cannot recommend is the restaurant. I had read a good review beforehand, but I do not agree. The prices were reasonable, but the food was not good. Perhaps it was affected by their plans to close for the season a few days after our stay. There are many other restaurant options nearby so it's not necessary to eat at the hotel.

11 klm west of heraklion Airport from highway (apr. 20 min. drive by car). Exit from Highway to Amoudara - Gazi. ( On your right side ).
By public transportation
Public Bus From Airport Station - Bus number 6 to Amoudara.Every 20 minutes
