Le Fleuray Hotel & Restaurant - Cangey, Amboise

4 U.S. travelers - 2 adults/2 kids. One quad room. Helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful location. Top-notch hotel - wish we could have stayed longer but our own plans allowed for only a single night. Dinner in restaurant was fantastic. Not easy to find, but directions to hotel are good. Ordered a picnic lunch from the restaurant for a long drive when leaving - very nice!

Room and facilities very good. Somewhat ambitious restaurant serving quite rich food. Fusion menu with some unusual combinations. Service not so good or organised. Staff pleasant. Read the hotel's booking conditions.

The hotel was wonderful and the staff, for the most part, was helpful. It turned out that there was no wifi in the rooms, only in the public areas, and we could not get that to work. We tried for two days. Management indicated that it was my computer and was not at all helpful. My wifi worked in locations before and after Le Fleuray, so I was a bit frustrated with that aspect of the service. The rest of the staff was wonderful. We left something in the room and they were kind enough to forward it to us.

The room was delightful if a little small, but with a pleasant view over fields. Modern bathroom. The host was welcoming and helpful. The attached restaurant (Michelin guide) was convenient, although the one dinner I had there was not to my liking (hint: don't always go with the waiter's advice!)- but it is well patronized, so my choice of meal may have been the exception. It's not too far to other restaurants, and sightseeing.

It was a perfect stay! The room was large and tasteful. The food was not only delicious, it was beautiful. You are treated as royalty.I'd love to go back.

The Fleuray hotel was a big surprise (a good one) The couple with us loved the place(and they are very,very exigent people) We loved our host, Mr. Peter who has a lovely place. The restaurant food was realy nice and a fresh new example of "French new cuisine". It realy is a cosy and romantic place.

I have used the Venere.com services for approximately 15 hotels - THIS HOTEL IS FAR AND AWAY THE SINGLE BEST OF THEM ALL - MY ONLY REGRET IS THAT I DID NOT HAVE MORE TIME TO SPEND THERE. Wholehearted recommendation.

Very good hotel, mainly quiet and good meals

Stayed for 2 nights. Very warm welcome and pleasantly surprised to find a swimming pool. Evening meals excellent in quality and choice, with different menu on the second night. However we discovered thin walls and thus kept awake by snoring in next room ! Breakfast rather disappointing at E13 and a supplement of E7 for a cooked breakfast. No choice of cheeses or meats which we had found in all the 5 other hotels we stayed in on this trip (all 3/4 star) Overall we enjoyed our stay and would go again. Recommend Clos de Luce in Amboise for a fascinating half day.
