Hotel Marina Riviera - Amalfi

Great 4 Star family run hotel.Our 2nd stay there. Have added rooftop pool if you want a quiet place to sun. Owners very active and welcoming. The Signor even cooks additional dishes for guests at breakfast. Had large room beautiful view of Amalfi and coast. Terrace, relaxing place to eat breakfast. In addition to lovely breakfast they have hot egg dishes to order which are included. Good coffee. Amalfi is authentic. Good boat and bus transportation to other towns. Used Seahorse from the airport. Reasonable and excellent drivers. Driver recommended Restaurant Tari which we ate in 3 or 4 nites as the food was delicious and reasonable.

The view from any window/terrace is simply spectacular. The hotels amenability is outstanding. Staff and concierge welcoming and friendly. Beautiful and clean hotel, I'd go back tomorrow.

My wife and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at the Marina Riviera in October 06.The owners , Jusi and Antonio were in attendance every day and were very attentive as were the rest of the staff.Breakast is a delight on the terrace overlooking the sea and the hotel is only a 2 minute walk from the centre of Amalfi. When Jusi and Antononio discovered it was our Ruby anniversary we were given the choice of two superb suites for the rest of our stay at no extra charge. They also placed a complimentary bottle of champagne in our suite! If the hotel had an outside sitting/sun bathing area it would be perfect.

Stayed in Amalfi 3 days. Accommodation and views were excellent, commensurate with the very high price.Breakfast was plentifull, unlike most of Italy where one had to get in early or miss out on the popular dishes. Parking was only available for very small cars, so I had to pay extra for my medium sized car at a nearby parking station.

We stayed four nights at Hotel Marina Riviera in the middle of July. The hotel is very nice and the terrace where we had breakfast was fantastic. Breakfast was very good and changed between the mornings. The hotel manager informed us of Amalfi and the hotel and we were offered towels for our visits to the beach. As a recident of Hotel Riviera, one gets a discount at the nearest, very nice and friendly, private beach. We had a wonderful stay at the hotel and would recommend it, but we would advice against having a drink at the terrace, it is far to expensive. We had a drink there (1 glas of white wine, 2 red Martinis and 1 Marguerita) that costed us 33 Euro !! Another advice is to take the boat to and from Salerno rather then the bus.

Lovely public areas and excellent breakfast on a terrace with brilliant views. Room not large but fresh, white and minimalist, with balcony and sea view. Lack of swimming pool and dining fully reflected in price, and not a problem when the sea and restaurants are on the doorstep. Staff very friendly and helpful. Parking right outside, behind chains. Malfunctioning air conditioning the only problem and hopefully temporary - they were dealing with it. We'll be back.

On a noisy road, but this isn't the fault of the property. Arrive in Amalfi by boat. Driving in on the narrow winding road is an experience you can live without!
