Hotel Centrale - Amalfi

Great location. Our room was fairly small but very clean and confortable with a stunning view of the Duomo just opposite. The hotel is family run and Giancarlo was extremely helpful. Great breakfast on the terrasse overlooking the main Piazza. Would highly recommend this hotel but would ask for a room at the back of the hotel or on the courtyard. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location, lovely breakfasts, eccentric receptionist (enthusiastic and helpful, though). Asking for a single bed as a gay male couple was a non-issue. Great stay!

Our stay at Hotel Centrale was wonderful. The room was beautifully clean and you cannot beat the location. It really is right in the heart of Amalfi and a minute's walk from the bus stop and the water. The staff were wonderful, my favorite hotel staff ever, and the breakfast each morning was lovely. I would definitely stay again!

Personnel at this hotel were warm and helpful. Fabulous location overlooking the main square but of course it was noisy. At the height of tourist season it might be difficult to sleep. Beautiful breakfast room and very cordial host. Typical but good quality breakfast. I would stay here again but only in low season.

We loved Hotel Centrale. The position is fantastic and the views from the room (front facing rooms) are sensational. The owners were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay fantastic. All in all we had a wonderful holiday. We would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family and we will definitely be going back again some day soon :-)

Es la primera ver que hemos ido a AMalfi, el hotel tiene una localización inmejorable y las vistas de las habitaciones son increibles. El desayuno es en una terraza al aire libre, muy bonito. Desayuno un poco escaso.

Named the Centrale and it definately was central, only problem was couldn't have a lie in due to the noise from the square every morning (bell's ringing etc) needed to ask for air conditioning to be switched on and once it was the rooms were very cool, a bargain!

An excellent place to go! We stayed in a triple room, it was spacious and all the facilities were excellent. Our balcony opened to the main square, just opposite the St Andrews Cathedral. And the view! Mountains from here and the sea from the roof terrace, where the breakfast was served. The receptionists were kind, competent, welcoming, so I can only recommend this hotel!

Fabulous location! Exceptional service. Beautifully appointed. One of my favorite hotels during a two week trek throughout Italy. Staff very service-oriented. Breakfast is offered on the rooftop terrace that overlooks the town square - just lovely.

Great room, location,very helpful staff, would stay there again. We arrived late morning and were greeted by name, asked if there were any rooms available facing the plaza. They said if we could wait 5 minutes they'd have one clean that we could have. Beautiful, large, corner room on top floor with a balcony opening to the plaza. Also, a beautiful rooftop garden for breakfast. All for 100 euros. Very satisfied in all respects.

It's a lovely place! A little bit noisy beaucause there are always some events & animation on the main square, you can hear cathedral's bells early in the morning, and groups playing music, but for me it was absolutely charming : this town has it's own rhythme of life, so if you have artistic soul you can become it's integral part, observe changing lights & shadows, taste the local lemon specialities... P.S. I do not recommend this hotel to people with mobility problems (steps,steps,steps)

Great location, wonderful friendly service, spectacular rooftop dining terrace. Only problem was church bells early in the morning. Also, many steps up to entrance could be a problem for disabled travelers.

Rooms at the front overlook the main square which doubles as a road. Good for people watching but can be noisy in the mornings when the cathedral bells toll. Service is excellent, everything you want from a resort hotel.
