Hotel is very nice and charming and the staff is very attentive. Mr. Andrea was excellent giving us information about restaurants and tours on the beautiful Amalfi Coast. I thought the hotel was much closer to the center of town but it was like 10 minutes walking, not that bad at this time of the year when the temperature was not too warm.

Rooms were very small - bed took up the entire area; (albeit, it was a cute little hotel). There is no parking available (outside of a few spots that will be already taken) - so no choice other than parking in the garage (15 euro/night). Area is beautiful; hotel is at the veeeeery end of the street, so balcony views are okay. Overlooks trashy lot and then the water. Not great, not horrible.

We had a room that overlooked the air conditioning. Better explanation of room view vs. room type would have clarified this. Also, they did not have internet access room for their guests - at this rate and star rating, this is unacceptable.

We staid at the apartment some 8oo m from the Hotel and it’s difficult to rate the Hotel as such but since we had to leave our car at the Hotel and walk from the apartment to get it was a small nuisances. The surroundings regarding the apartment were “poor” and there were no pictures. From the Hotel itself was access to a lovely beach, but get there early in weekends in order t get chairs which is an absolute necessity because the beach is not sand but small gravel

Very helpful reception. Great veiw from superior room. A little overpriced compared to other hotels we stayed at in other areas but, this could be standard for this region?!? Breakfast was lovely out on the terrace over looking the sea. Right down the end of the beach where it is nice a quiet but it is directly across the road from the beach. There is a great bar down next to the silver moon resturant on the hotel side of the resturant where we can sit out on the beach and have a few relaxing drinks. A couple of good pizza bars in the main strip. Quieter area than Positano and only a 25min ferry ride to visit. It is one hell of a bus trip from sorrento and packed. Be clever and when you line up for the bus have one person put your bags under the bus and the other person hold up the line because everyone is rude and just gets on and pushes in and then you will end up standing the whole way if you can get on at all. There is a little kiosk type thing just next to the hotel which sells beer and wine for next to nothing. Great balcony view of the ocean. Bad Tv, only 2 local channels with bad reception, which is not why you go on holidays but it nice to be able to watch something while you are trying to nod off at night. Easy to find. Get off the bus, stand with your back to the sea and walk left as far as you can go and it's the white building.

If you do book an apartment be aware that this is not located in the hotel, it is in a good location back in town. The apartment had good cooking facilities. Be aware that if you book a 3 person apartment one person will be sleeping on the couch.

First time in on holiday in Amalfi. The hotel was very clean with helpful and welcoming staff. Nothing was too much for them. A spectacular view from our room. A beautiful spot.

Beautiful hotel in Italian character style. Lovely room with wonderful view. A little noise late at evening from outdoor cinema nearby but would highly recommend hotel. Very convenient to town centre, buses etc.

A very enjoyable stay in a decent hotel located reasonably close to the centre of amalfi. Rooms were cleaned daily and all the hotel staff were very competent. I would definitively recommend staying at this hotel although I would advise booking a superior room. The only down side appears to be some unreasonable rule about not allowing food to be taken back to rooms, and the additional cost of using the mini bar to store your own drinks which is just a little bit petty after dropping the best part of a grand on a hotel room!!!

We are a couple with 3 small kids. Hotel Aurora gave us an apartment centrally located in the town perfect for our children. The neighborhood was quiet and the unit was very clean particularly the bathroom. They made our Amalfi vacation as one of the best. I would recommend their apartments for a family with small children.

We were not very happy about our room, because it was quite a dark room, with a view to the rocks. Furthermore there was the kitchen right under our sleeping room, therefore it was quite noisy and the kitchen smell in our room was terrible.

As a travel agent, I am somewhat critical of places that I stay. To my friends and me, this was a great small hotel in a great location. We were pleasantly surprised and happy with the hotel and staff. The staff was very helpful with restaurant suggestions and helped with transportation suggestions. We would absolutely, recommend this hotel and stay there again ourselves.

We loved the location, we could walk to town within minutes, didn't have to take a shuttle bus every time you wanted to do something. The staff was extremely accommadating. We loved the goings on at the marina across the street, there is a very good restaurant w/a sea side patio diagonaly across the street and there is a small beach for swimming also. We would never stay anywhere else if we were to go back to Amalfi.

Great downtown Amalfi place to stay. Difficult to find, just head down to the harbour as far as you can, to the end of the pier....

I can only mark down on the location because we didn't have a map at all, but easily found the hotel after asking at the tourist office. Aurora was a brilliant location in Amalfi, within a pleasant level walk from the centre and yet far enough away to be quiet. We were lucky enough to have a sea facing room which pointed slightly away from the town, which gave us a great view. Breakfast was fine, the usual continental, and all at the hotel were very hospitable.

I was extremely disappointed with the Aurora - the hotel was difficult to find. Once there, the service was very poor - having requested a car parking space in advance and having had this request confirmed by email - it was disappointing to find that when we arrived there was no space. We were told by the hotel to park in the public car park - Euro 10 for 3 hours and try again later. On our return - still no space - we were met with a shrug of the shoulders by the unhelpful receptionist. The room although clean, had no airconditioning and a view of a brick wall. The staff were neither welcoming or helpful. We stayed for 3 hours and then moved out to the excellent Graal Hotel in Ravello.

When I booked, I thought the hotel was situated in the centre of Amalfi. We were very pleasantly surprised to find it on the end of the beach. I think we will come back but only if Room 33 is available! Many thanks for a wonderful stay.
