Hotel Antica Repubblica - Amalfi

We had a wonderful time here. The hotel was great and the staff helpful and very friendly. A charming hotel in a charming town.

Newly and tastefully refurbished rooms - clearly above average.

When we arrived the hotel,there is no staff and closed perfectly. The time is ordinary to cheek in(4:30 pm). We had to ask the other hotel staff to contact Antica Repubblica. After about one hour, the staff came and he said that he went to have lunch. At one time we worried that we had to make new reservation for that night. That day , we were the only guests so that Antica Repubblica doubted wether we would stay. If they could not sure, they had better ask us confirmation 3-4days before the day. We appreciated they kept our suitcases and made us use toilet after checkout.

We stayed at Hotel Antica Rebublica for 2 nights in Amalfi and had a great time. The staff were most helpful and the rooms were very large, comfortable and clean. The location is also fantastic as it is right in the heart of town. I higly reccommend staying here.

A very clean and sweet hotel. The rooms were comfortable and well furnished. The hotel staff were kind and even changed the breakfast time for us so we could have breakfast before a tour we were going on. The breakfast was also great with a large variety of food and beverages. We did have a little problem with the hot water not being quite so hot however the staff tended to this problem immediately. The location was also excellent within walking distance to everything. A great stay overall, definitely be back.

The suites, but only the suites are well prepared for romantic stay. The location is wanderfull and compensates some small incovenients.

1. We love the breakfast on the roof-terrace. 2. It is hard to find the hotel with the small description on the webpage.

It was a great stay, the only negatives were that the shower didn't fully drain (which they apologized for immediately) and the bed wasn't comfortable- but that was true of every place we stayed in Italy. Otherwise it was a perfect match between price and location/quality. It was clean, center of town... One of the guys who worked there was very entertaining during breakfast, chatting with us. All and all a great stay for the price

Had the best room in this small hotel of only 7 rooms. It was so well appointed and had its own entrance.

Antica Repubblica was the best hotel we stayed during our 4 week honeymoon. It is truly a great value for the cost. The staff is wonderful. Great breakfast (try the little local pastries Renato brings.....), rooms are clean and newly remodeled. Highly recommended!!

A really lovely room right in the heart of Amalfi which reasonably large and very clean, with lots of attention to detail. Staff were generally very friendly and helpful, especially the fantastic chap who works on reception at night and organises breakfast, which is served on the roof terrace. A really good place if you want a decent, comfortable room in the heart of Amalfi, although public areas are lacking, but we didn't find this to be a problem. I would happily stay there again.

While the rooms were small, the location was ideal, the staff was friendly, and the rates were very reasonable. I would definitely stay there again if I was back in Amalfi.

Excellent location in centre of AMALFI. Small room but cute,excellent bathroom facilities. Night porter who served breakfast rather odd. Although car parking was available it was not made clear that this would be an extra cost.Reception staff helpful and friendly.

The room was spacious by Italian standards and very well appointed with a large bathroom. The room had its own air conditioner that was efficient and quiet. The hotel is in the heart of the town and reached by stairs up an archway. While there is no view, there is little sounds of cars and mopeds. We would definitely stay there again.

A lovely Hotel with nice staff. The bathroom electrics were a little eratic so take care with the jacuzzi.Ours decided to go mad and pump water all round the bathroom!
