If you fancy staying in a box room and not being able to get any sleep because of the mouse, this place is for you.

Brilliant location, particularly if you want a closer look at the Duomo, and you intend using buses, regional and local. Handy for day excursions to Ravello, Positano, Sorrento, Capri, Pompeii. Maria and the Buonocore family looked after us as if we were part of their family, helping with our baggage, advising on day trips and restaurants, doing whatever they could to make us feel welcome. Breakfast is basic (Continental), rooms are clean, adequate, comfortable and unpretentious, and some rooms have excellent piazza/Duomo views.

A small hotel in a very convenient spot near the bus station in Amalfi. Noisy, as on the main thoroughfare and opposite the campanile which chimes every quarter hour from 7am til 10pm. It had been downgraded from 3 to 2 stars by the time we arrived for our holiday. Breakfast is the usual continental, but the staff were friendly and helpful.

Even if the space of the albergo was little, I felt very fine and I had everything I needed. You have a very short way from the sita-busses from salerno or from sorrent or from the ferries to the albergo. Marvellous was the view even from a single room directly to the steps and the portal of St. Andrews Cathedral. The albergo layed exactly in Piazza di duomo on the other side of the Dome. The furniture of my room was not modern, but very clean, the bathroom was in solid new style. The owner of the albergo and the staff were very friendly and helpfull, speaking a little englisch. Breakfast was in italien style (panino, crossant, butter, good marmelade and of corse cappucino or tea, fruit juice, if you want) I liked to have my window open, even if I could hear a rumoring of voices from the piazza from ca. 8.00 in the morning about to 0.00 in the night. But if you close the window, it is quiet in the room. The only thing I missed, was a seat for smokers outside of the albergo. If you want to stay directly in the heart of Amalfi without paying a lot of money, this is a very nice place to be.

The location & staff, particularly Maria & Lucia, are outstanding. This hotel is in the very heart of Amalfi center and ALL the activity is outside your window. 10 steps away from the restaurants, shops, and across the street from the Duomo. The room, with a double-bed, is small but typical. The WC and shower is also small but comfortable. The center of Amalfi is busy from 7am until well after midnight. We enjoyed it for our 3 day stay. But it is not quiet. We kept our windows open (October) only closing them after 10pm. ENJOY AMALFI

The location was excellent, especially if you explore the area by local bus or ferry. The hotel is just 3 minutes walk from the SITA bus terminal and the ferry port. The staffs were welcoming and very helpful. Although the room I stayed was small but clean and comfortable, and the price was very reasonable.
