Hotel Mio Cid - Alicante

Oh dear, despite the fact that our room was clean, all the another important things were more than bad. First of all the hotel is not able to offer you breakfast or at least a meal. You are forced to go elsewere... You like music...very loud ?? no Problem. At half past twelve in the night(!) you get the bass beats of the disco. Spanish boys and girls can lend the hotel for techno disco. So good bye with your sleep. All in all we can only warn you! Don´t stay at this hotel!!!

Some of the staff indisposed,arrogant, rude. Look for another hotel

A little outside Alicante centre, but suited me perfectly. The hotel is fairly small and each room has a balcony on one side and an open corridor on the other side. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant did great food. There are wifi spots all over the hotel and ample parking around the outside or private parking. It's a short walk to the beach on one side or a slightly longer walk to the big main beach facing East. I'd definitely go back.

Visited Alicante for 5 days end Nov. Mio Cid is an excellent hotel, friendly, helpful staff. Cafe s close by for casual meals etc.. Mio Cid Restaurant a bit expensive for dinner @ €35 each. Location, 20 mins bus ride from centre, only problem last bus back from centre 2240 ! Great weather evrry day, 23 deg C every day, extensive high-rise apartments all over the area a bit intimidating, accordingly 5 days plenty time for area. Santa Barrara citaldel worth a visit, also Altea, approx 70 mins tram ride away.

Excellent staff, large room with real bathroom. Enjoyed the room service and eating on the balcony.

We stayed in the hotel in July 2009- the hotel is very nice, just appropriate for its *** rating. The receptionist spoke very good English, and we got a room with a sea view just like we requested. The rooms are small, but very nice, bathroom could have passed for a **** hotel. The only grievance was a bad smell coming out of the a/c on one day. Breakfast is not included in the price and costs 9eur/person, which we thought was a little expensive, I would recommend getting fresh food in the supermarket approx. 700m from the hotel. For those who like it- there's a Burger King about 1 min. walk from the reception.
