Villa Las Tronas Hotel & Spa - Alghero

they boast that Richard Burton and Elizabeth Tayor stayed there, must have had a larger room than we got!!give 124 a miss, standing in the bath to shower is hardly 5 star, rooms a little dated and poorly furnished, the suites may be much better judging by the photo's . in a good setting, better than most but its difficult finding out what they actually do in the spa and health building across from the Hotel, we found out the day before we came home!, breakfast was good, but lacking in good and real coffee, the use capsules in a machine to dispense coffee, they have a gaggia machine but seem not to use it!might be out of order. The hotel is near 2 very good restaurants Ill Corillo, and Peshe Dore, both excellant fish and pizza places, parking in Alghero in August is impossible!! use taxis

We stayed here for a long weekend. It has the perfect location with the balance between a quiet place to relax and just a ten minute stroll into town and all it's bars and restaurants. The staff are lovely and the setting idyllic.
