Hotel Punta Negra - Fertilia, Alghero

Good hotel but a problem with the surroundings (it smells badly around the beach !)

Hotel antiguo,limpio, bien situado, habitacion pequeña, baño ducha con cortina, aire acondicionado ok. comida correcta,playa privada excelente. precio habitacion caro, playa, servicio, tranquilidad, estupendo. volveria.

Overpriced, not worthy of 4*. Restaurant service and breakfast poor. Some staff rude and unhelpful with more managers than workers! Outdoor pool OK but no more than we would expect for the money. Rooms not cleaned well, with paint dripped all over the balcony floor. Hotel almost empty. Beach small and dirty. There are much better hotels around for much less money. Close to airport - with flights passing low overhead!

Much too expensive for the quality. Old bathrooms, walls need some paint. Very nice service.

Stayed for long weekend (22-25 August) and was disappointed overall with the dated appearance of the hotel, the very small room size and the quality of the food, especially the buffet area where the food looked anything but fresh. My wife and I stayed for three nights and paid 930 euro for a sea view room with a balcony but the balcony was so small that it could only fit 2 chairs and there wasn't even room for a table. The website doesn't show the old soviet style buildings in the town of Fertilia which directly overlook the beach area and ruin the view. The beach itself is nice although very small and the sunbeds near the sea are reserved from very early in the morning. The night time entertainment is dull to say the least and most of the guests sat "drink less" playing cards or listening to the singer. The hotel is in a very isolated location and not suitable for young people at all and the taxi fare into Alghero was 20-25 euro each way depending on traffic. Also walls are paper thin and the noise starts (doors banging etc) from 7.30am with people getting up for breakfast. Overall a disappointment and I would stay in, or close to Alghero town next time.

It's a fantastic hotel, right on its own private beach, not too small and not too big, very piecefull!! Food is very good. Room is very nice. Just 10 minutes from Alghero airport (15-17 euro for a taxi). A village with a supermarket and a few nice restaurants is in a 15 minutes walking distance.

The Hotel was more 3 star than 4 star

Beautiful hotel, fantastic private beach, nice pool area, breakfast very good, evening meal a little over priced for what choice/quantity available. Fetilia is 5 mins walk away, nice place, but very quiet, with not many amenities. Alghero fab old town and marina, with plenty of restaurant choice and bars

Spent four days and the hotel was quite accomodating and helpful. We were there to visit and also to see where my husband and sister-in-laws father was born. They were helpful and gave us direction to the town.

Fairly average rooms for price and breakfast was ordinary- I guess if the weather had been better we would have been able to enjoy the beach and not focus on the accom standard as due to heavy rain we had to stay inside

The overall impression was that customer service wasn't a priority. It seemed almost inconvenient to check us in. We had an early flight the next day and were unable to make breakfast at 0800. The hotel was not even able to provide a cup of coffee for us prior to departure at 0700. As for an ocean front suite, let's call it what it was, a standard double room with a roll away bed crammed in for our son. Lovely view, location, but doubt I'd return at that price.

Excellent service, excellent rooms, excellent hotel. There were a few additional fees we were not expecting, but overall, it was a very satisfying trip, and we will definitely stay at the Punta Negra again.

Highly recommended. We have spent 5 days this September and we do not have any single reason to complain. We are looking forward going back next year.

L'hotel è bello ed il personale molto gentile. Le uniche osservazioni negative che ho da fare riguardano l'ascuigacapelli (non era nella stanza e sono dovuta andare alla reception prima per averne uno, poi una seconda volta per avere una spina per adattarlo alla presa...che fatica!) e la scarsa discrezione del personale delle pulizie che spesso entrava nella stanza senza nemmeno chiedere il permesso! Un consiglio che dò ai futuri ospiti è quello di prenotare a mezza pensione, in quanto una cena (cucinata e servita in maniera impeccabile) mi è costata solo 13 euro in più. In ogni caso lo consiglio vivamente.

Very good hotel for couples. Quiet and picturesque during the day. Lovely pool and beach. The evenings were spoilt by an awful Karoke entertainment team. So bad, that there were many more couples at breakfast than there were sitting on the lovely terrace in the evening. I would recommend eating out at the execellent restaurant in the nearby the village and the wide choice in Alghero. Hotel food was indifferent and expensive.

We had a fantastic stay, the location and surrondings were beautiful. Arrived at the hotel with my partner and we left engaged!!!!! I couldn't have picked a nicer place to be proposed to.. It was perfect. I would highly recommend this hotel.
