A bit old hotel, bur quite nice for the price. Breakfast better than in many Italian hotels for the same price. They close the pool at seven in the evening, that´s to early I think. And, they played very loud music in the bar in the evening, there were only 5-10 guests sitting there, taking a drink so why did they play so loud? Friendly staff.

Bearing in mind that this is a 3 star hotel, the guest experience could be improved at very little extra cost to the hotel. This was the most disappointing hotel breakfast of many that I have seen in Italy. There was a bowl of very tired fruit, when a chopped fruit salad would be expected. All yogurt was full-fat. Cereal choices are limited to corn flakes and crispies - no muesli. Coffee from the machine was a crime against coffee- though the tea was OK. When I suggested that muesli, fruit salad and low-fat yogurt would improve matters, this feedback was distinctly unwelcome and I was told that the obesogenic food on offer (sausages, bacon, cakes) was what guests wanted. This staff response was atypical, as all other staff were highly professional in dress and attitude. The positives about this hotel include a location across the road from a nice beach with a beach bar that serves decent coffee. I will return to Alghero but not to the Oasis

We had a large room for a family of 4. The room was good for the price. The swimingpool is very good and the hotel well located in front of the sea. The hotel is however very noisy (walls are in cigarette paper !). Externaly, the construction is old fashioned and would need a refurbishment.

Good welcoming and helpful, kind assistance. Nice and very large lobby. however my single room was really small, with no place to put a suitcase, very very basic forniture and no mini-fridge. Independent air conditioning split machine was shut off when I arrived. Bathroom also very small, with faucets and bath tub from the Plyocene age, no har dryer at all. Cleaning looked good though. The corridor leading to the rooms is floored by a Victorian age moquette, smelling bad from dirt (and age of course). Breakfast buffet was very large, with a lot of choice; quality of coffe and drinks was very arguable; no availaibility of sparkling water. Overall: the price is affordable, right, but they really should make an effort to considerably improve rooms, furniture and related facilities.

All staff excellent. Buffet breakfast excellent. Room basic but clean and large. Pool and outside bar good. Photographs don't do it justice! Price was good overall but could have been a bit cheaper considering time of year and that there were few other visitors than a big party. Proximity to town very good (approx. 2km), a pleasant walk. Easy to get about. We hired bicycles at 10 Euros each per day. Cycle paths available and you can ride on the promenade too. Nice beach across the road through the pine trees. We visited in October when it was quiet but I would imagine it is also a very nice hotel during the busier summer months too. One minor point, we were told restaurant was not open the first evening but when we were about to leave the hotel to go out for an evening meal, the restaurant was open and displaying a good menu, however, it was apparently only open to a private party. The menu could easily have been replicated and served in the indoor bar area, which was a very nice area. The following evening was the same situation and the third evening, when the party had gone, it was closed. But there are plenty of other restaurants anyway so no problem.

The hotel was exactly what we expected. It offers all we wanted, for example a restaurant, bar, swimming pool, rooms with aircondition and balcony and short distance to the beach, which was very nice! We also made reservation for sun beds for next day (on the beach!) to get the same beds in first row again. The small train from hotel to town in the evening and back from town is great! Walking to town takes 30 minutes, a good idea if you only have relaxed on the beach all the day! Bus stop to airport is some streets away, reception explained where to go and gave us a map, very helpful! Might be too far to go with a lot of luggage! Totally: the hotel is a 3 star hotel as described. All together, a nice stay for 4 nights with wonderful summer weather!

Typical resort hotel, rooms clean and with decent size rooms, but lacking in character. Pool area good but you have to get a card from reception to charge everything to rather than pay cash. Location excellent for nearby beach, immediately across the road with a couple of nice beach bars. Also really easy to get to by bus from the airport, bus stop is just outside the entrance - only 70 cents so much better than 20 euros by taxi. 20 mins walk into town, good location to spend a couple of days

Hotel Oasis was no doubt a fantastic hotel in 1980, however, it needs a SERIOUS update both in decor and attitude. The communal areas are nice but the rooms are awful. They are clean and functional but were last decorated in 1980s and the bathrooms look even older. The hotel has a bossy feel to it - there are signs telling you what not to do everywhere! 'It is forbidden to ...'. Also the whole breakfast rigmarole used to drive me insane - every morning you had to give your room number and were then assigned a table. This sounds reasonable enough except there are hundreds of empty tables in the room and you have to go to the specific one you are given - which is completely daft. We ended up by the door one day when all the tables by the window overlooking the pool were empty! And you are given a different table every day so its not as if you are assigned the same table - there might be some logic to that. I was too chicken to complain or enquire (probably forbidden anyway) as I was roundly ticked off one day when I made a break for it and tried to sit at a different table!! Having said all of the above, the hotel is good value for expensive Alghero and across the road from an amazing beach. You are a bit of a distance from Alghero centre (25 mins) but its a nice stroll in the evening. If you stay any closer to Alghero along the same road then the beach is not as nice - the beach along this part has nice sand dunes and thicker sand. This is my second time staying here, I wont be back but overall I would recommend the hotel - it is convenient for the beach and Alghero in the evening and has good parking and general facilities (pool, bar, pizza restaurant). The downside are the rooms - very drab with awful (but clean) bathrooms. Just remember to do as you are told!!!

Stayed a week there in July. Nice place to be with kids, a family hotel. The beach is small but nice just a bit crowded...July. Breakfast was ok, the pizza's are nice too.If you plan to eat on Alghero Restaurants, try to stay away from city centre, ask to the staff at hotel, they can give nice tips, most of them are very friendly.

The hotel is more than 2.5km from the city centre, by my tom tom its 4km. The reception staff are very professional in their dealings with you but they are not consistant with their pricing as one charged me €4.70 for cigs and the following day tried to charge me €6 for the same cigs. There sun cream is priced €7.50 but they charged me €12 and said that they were priced wrong. The taxi from the airport to the hotel is €20 but from the hotel to the airport its €25. The taximan said that the hotel charge him €5 commisson for the booking. Breakfast great, pool great, facilities v/good, rooms small but clean. The bingo 2 or 3 times a week is a bit much and makes you not want to drink in the poolside bar. Its a bit of a job getting back into the hotel after 1am as the gate at the drivein is close and you have to get buzzed in by the (not to happy to see you nightporter).

I wish to reiterate that reception was excellent. One thing I found below standard of all other aspects was the internal restuarant which closes too early (9 pm) for a holiday resort and this led the maitre and waiters to "push" clients a bit, in order to close and end their day. One other point: the reception staff were unable to give tips on such interesting attractions as "nuraghe" and "tombs of giants" nearest to Alghero. I'll gladly return on the first possible chance to do so.

This was our first holiday in Sardinia. We had a great time. Hotel was a little past its prime, but it was not important. The staff especially reception and restaurants were really lovely. Breakfast had a wide choice and was delicious, just right to set you up for a hard day relaxing by the lovely pool area. Pizza restaurant is highly recommended too, though strangely empty.Only ten minutes from the airport, a very short walk through dunes to gorgeous if busy beach. We'll be back!!!
