Excellent hotel. It does what it says on the tin. Relaxing, very quiet,in quiet upmarket residential area. Good food, particularly the breakfast. Fish centred main evening meals but other early evening menus add to the variety available.

This choice was a great success. The hotel was as good as shown on the website, and we thought it was a great hotel and good value for money. Very relaxing, and we would not have found it except for the website.

Absolutely wonderful hotel - perfect for couples wishing to get away for a peaceful, relaxing break. Staff could simply not be faulted, they were discreet, helpful and smiling. Would definitely go back again, and would also recommend this hotel to all my friends. We visited a lovely fish restuarant, overlooking the sea, just 200 yrds from the hotel.

My wife and I stayed at Vila Gale for a week and we really enjoyed it. The hotel is stylishly decorated with Budhas, candlelights and incense sticks. It's very romantic! The spa Satsanga has a big jacuzzi and the massage we took was very relaxing. You can stroll along the beach and eat tons of fresh fish in the nearby restaurants. Great breakfast too. One tip: hire a car if you want to hang around the Algarve villages. Finally, another pro: kids-free hotel. Absolute peace and quiet...All in all, the best value for money hotel we've ever stayed in Europe.

Firstly, this is a fantastic hotel! *-As per Venere description, hotel is 6km from centre Albufiera and although map is a little basic, was not too difficult to find. *-Welcome was wonderful (given Tea & Hot Towels to freshen up when checking in. *-Reception area is very friendly & inviting (Smooth Jazz playing) and has a small games room (Pool, chess, etc) & library located beside it. *-Room was very spacious and filled with several nice touches (LCD TV, DVD Player with collection of DVD's available from Reception, little reading lights at bedside, bath salts, bath robes & slippers, etc) also has very large Bed, Safe, Minibar and comfy chairs. *-Our room was one of 2 that had extended balcony, so we also had 2 Sun Loungers & an extra table. *-Pool area was gorgeous, very comfy loungers & piped tranquillity music/sounds - very relaxing. Restaurant was lovely with nuevo cuisine (delish, but not too filling) with lovely Wine. *-Beside this was the Bar which was relaxed & had musician playing on Sun, Mon & Fri, although this was a relaxed atmosphere. Spa area was very nice (treatments from €30-€100) which included access to huge Jacuzzi and Sauna/Steam rooms (Normally €7.50 per day or you can get a reduced cost multiday pass). *-As Hotel is located outside the town, would recommend hiring out a car - Parking spaces at front of hotel. Hotel is minutes walk from one of the many beaches along the coast & had good view of sea from our room. *-Overall, this is an excellent hotel for Business Travellers and fantastic for those wishing to relax. *-Staff are wonderful & friendly.

I booked a Double Room through Venere. However, when I came to check in, they gave us a Twin Room with 2 single beds put together. I asked for a double-bedded room as booked, but they said they were all taken. This was a major issue for us as we were expecting on big bed. They did make up the bed to look and feel more like one bed, however, it was still two single/queen matresses put together! Apart from this, the hotel was excellent.

An ideal place for couples looking to relax and unwind. Car hire would not go amiss.
