Stella Maris Hotel Apartamento - Albufeira

The wifi did not reach up to 4th flooe due to its week signal.

Price was unbeatable. Walk to a lovely big beach, the hotel suited us fine for one night and the staff were wonderful. They brought champagne for my birthday. It would be a really great place to stay with children.

Excellent price for winter (26 euros). Very cosy room. Very nice employees.

We spent three nights in this wonderful aparthotel. First night we stayed in a room next to the lobby. Our windows and balcony faced the swimming pool, billiards place, pool bar. Was pretty noisy until 1 am. We asked a receptionist Ronie to move us to more quiet room. And he did it next day. We've got a wonderful quiet spacious apartment on the 4th floor with a beautiful view. Our special thanks to Ronie. Another special thanks we want to send to the night receptionist (or manager, I think, don't know his name unfortunat.). He has provided me a great and useful information about what to see in southern, northern Portugal, Lisbon. There is a soccer field next to the hotel which is not a nice feature. We have not had any meals in a hotel. But nearby you can find a shopping plaza w/few restaurants with a good food/snack and local supermercado(a half of the way to the beach). The beach was 5-7 min to walk and it is long and gorgeous. Albufeira is 10-15 min far from hotel by car. We had a car, was no problem for us. Old town is a great place to spend an evening and have a delicious not expensive meal. We visited Vilamoura resort - interesting place (10 min driving to the east) with a huge marina and beautiful yachts. We are considering this place in a future stay again.

I (we the family) stay now already for a couple of times on the Hotel. Very good price/quality relation and rooms tidyness continues to be their advantages. To keep going.

It was not our first time in Stella Maris. Previous stays were one of the reasons to come back. Plus the promotional rates! The geographical environement of the complex is very good and near by excellente beaches. The spaciousness of rooms/apartment is very very good, with a "real" kitchen.Swimming pool is also a must, with adequated space for youngsters (but do go to the beach!).

We found this to be fantastic value for a short break in the off season, a quiet and well serviced corner beside a very impressive beach with wonderful views from the cliffs

Very nice hotel, people friendly and very helpful really at your service when you need. Nice location a bit far from the center but with a renting car you can reach all area in few minutes. Everything was perfect but the hotel is noisy; between floors you can hear children playing, heels or chairs pulling on the floor. Such a shame for a so nice hotel and very good service.

Excellent hotel for families with or without children.

This was the second time we have stayed at the Stella Maris, it is a very nice Aparthotel, beautifully maintained in a quiet Part of the Algarve but with easy access to the beach. We were disappointed on arrival to be told they didnt have a room for us, they did, however, put us in to a good hotel within walking distance of the Stella Maris, we eventually went back there the next day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a quieter resort.

The hotel is pretty (nice furniture in the rooms), but they are not sure, if it is more a hotel or more a vacation apartment. No cleaning service at all (only exchange of towels and making the bed). And this happened only after 4 pm! No possibility to clean yourself (no duster, no cloth, no vacuum cleaner)! No tablecloth, no napkins, no shampoo/shower gel (only the first night). No micro stove (only at check out we learned that we might have asked for one at the reception!) Already before breakfast (9 a.m.) all sun beds were occupied by private towels. Bad quality of mixed drinks in the bar. Two good things to mention: kind persons at the reception, spacious parking garage.

The hotel was beautiful and spacious. They have all the requirments as a hotel with the exception of a gift shop, no problem. The pool area was clean. 10 minutes away was the beach which is breathtaking. If you want to have dinner outside of the Hotel, plenty of restuarants 5 minutes from the Hotel. The area is safe. This catered to all types of people, family with or without kids. A great getway place. Price was very reasonable and definetly recommend this to anyone.

Really large apartments. We stayed in a studio but it was more like a 1-bed apartment with a large balcony, our room overlooked the back of the hotel (not the pool), which we loved as it was very private and picturesque, although lost the sun in the late afternoon. We didn't mind as we went on the pool loungers then. Only 5 or so minutes walk to the beach and 10 min taxi from Albufeira - perfect for a relaxing and chilled out time, or quality time with partner, probably not ideal for single party-goers, but perfect for everyone else :-) Able to do huge walks along the beach if you like that kind of thing!

This was our first visit to Albufeira & we will be back next year & plan to stay at the same hotel. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Hotel was spotless. Lovely beach 5 mins walk away, you can walk to Vilamora along the beach in 1 hour. Old Town Albufeira is a tenner taxi ride away. Plenty of small bars & resturaunts close by too. Stella Maris is excellent value for money for a low season break. Can't wait to get back there.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Considering the price (not too expensive) I wasn't expecting too much but found the standard of rooms and facilities to be excellent. It couldn't be cleaner and the apartment was perfect for two, the kitchen was also much better than expected. The pool area is also very nice. It is away from the main tourist-y area of Albufeira, which I was glad about. I would recommend hiring a car when staying here. There is a supermarket just up the road (tourist prices) and a nice square with a few restaurants and shops.

We are cyclists. We cycled from Lisbon to Faro and stayed at The Stella Maris 4 nights. We had a wonderful time there and found all the staff so helpful. We will hopefully be going back, Thankyou Keith and Mary chilvers

I absolutely loved this hotel, the best I have ever stayed at. Me and three friends stayed for a week and I would definately recommend it. The hotel staff organised a transfer for us from Faro airport to the hotel and as soon as we reached the hotel there was no disappointment. The staff were very friendly and welcoming & did all they could to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The cleaners came everyday to clean the rooms but did not have to if you didn't want them to. The beach is literally a 5-7mins walk away, there are resturants are mere 2mins walk away & so is the local supermarket. The hotel restuarant food and staff was really good & the pools were very nice. The hotel arranged a taxi service every night we went to the Strip (the local hot spot for bars, clubs and restuarants) which cost less than 10euros. The whole experience was brilliant. Whether you are a couple, a family or just a group of friends, all ages will enjoy, I certainly did. Thank you Stella Maris. X

More sunbeds and umbrellas needed around the pool, or on individual balconies. The Reception staff had trouble booking taxis in the early evening - although to be fair they kept trying until one was available!! The web description of the hotel is very accurate. Very good value for money

Really good spacious apartment. Need a car because it is located a distance from town but a few restaurants down the road- great value for money.

Good Hotel: clean, friendly, spacious, cheap, well equipped, nice staff and new facilities. The cons a bit far from the beach, a swimming pool that should have more sun and uninteresting surroundings. It can also be hard to find to those that don't know the area well.
