Medi Garden Resort - Alba Adriatica

The room was o.k. with a partial view of the Adriatic Sea as well as a sports complex and the Abruzzi mountains. The shower was changing from hot to cold, terrible to use for children. The children had bunk beds with the TV stand being in one of the beds. Parking at the hotel is horrible, and we did not really receive appropriate help. The few spaces are always occupied and the garage costs 10 Euros extra per night. We got a 38 Euro parking ticket for parking across from the hotel (they told us they had tried to reach us when the police came, interestingly nobody before and after me got a ticket at the same spot). SO if you are with kids and need to use the car, get ready to walk to your parking spot far away or pay more ... Only one staff member spoke English, so better work on your Italian. The animation team was very nice - warning: the kids party went to 11 and beyond but our daughter (three) loved it. Beach service (chairs and umbrella) are included but don't expect to get a place near the water). Location is great, meters to the beach (though the associated beach is a short walk down the promenade. In defense of the hotel: they were host to refugees from L'Aquila's earthquake region at the time. Breakfast includes real capuccino (unlike some hotels that have those horrible machines) and lots of pastry, bread and some salami, fruit, juices etc. The restaurant on the fourth floor has a resort kind of atmosphere with an appetizer buffet and lots of children running around. The view of the mountains and the Sea is spectacular. Waiters are friendly and food was good, but expensive. I recommend to visit the Beach thems restaurant Barbanera (where the hotel's beach is located)instead. We were desperate to find a place to wash our laundry, and the hotel staff (as well as the tourist information in town) sent us on a wild goose chase. It was Saturday and we were told that some lavanderias would be open but ... most shops close at 1.30 in the aftern

Hotel carino, una volta li pero' mi hanno dato una stanza semplice e non la elite prenotata ed hanno preteso il pagamento della cifra intera, sicuramente il management non e' all'altezza della struttura. Evitate di pagare anticipatamente.

The hotel met all our expectations, pitty that the waiter at the breakfast was alone, he was more busy with his technicalities than with his customer, and not very customer oriented.

This was a truly delightful stay in location of the Hotel and the location of the town. This was a restful location and the hotel services were over the top in all ways. I would stay here again, and recommend to friends without any hesitation.

Very close to the beach, nice beach view too. Breakfast excellent. The staff was friendly and happy to see us. Our only suggestion really is to make the corners of the bed platform rounded. We hit our toes on it several times.
