The Mathios Village is a traditional cycladic family run hotel, situated on Santorini Island in the historical Akrotiri village, amongst green vineyards, a short distance away from the volcanic red beach of Caldera and from the famous Santorini's archaeological site.

The hotel is a little bit far from tourism place, that's why you have to rent bike or car to visit. The hotel is very nice and quiet. The Owner is sympatic but really want to sell you other service (like bike rent). The restaurant inside the hotel is very nice, between the two pool, the staff too :).

Mathios Village was a great place to stay. The breakfast was very nice. The coffee always hot. They have a great pool area. If you want to stay away from the crowds, this is the place. Nice and quite. Not far from beaches and the Lighthouse. A rental car is a must. The freedom to move around will make your stay a ton more enjoyable. The hotel set up a day trip for us. We where picked up at the hotel and then dropped back off. They do their best to take care of you. We stayed in a loft style room. A real nice stay.

The Windmill Suite is separate from the other buildings and is surrounded by lovely flowering gardens and vineyards. This Suite is built round from volcanic rock and marble and decorated with hand-crafted wooden furniture and luxurious fabrics.
The suite amenities include ensuite modern bathroom with shower and hairdryer, balcony with view, air conditioning, satellite TV with music channel, mini bar, DVD and MP3 player and direct dial telephone with Internet access for personal laptops.

Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. In case your chosen hotel needs a deposit, this information will be included in the "Cancellation policy" section and the deposit will have to be settled directly with the pre-selected property. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE". In this case, the total amount of your stay will be charged to your credit card by the hotel at the time of booking.
