Hotel Le Manoir - Aix-les-Bains

Meal in hotel very expensive and I ordered salmon starter to be told not available. Fine. Was offered alteratative that I accepted but was then asked if I'd take Black Pudding. No. Then they brought salmon......! Strange. Room was very tired. Chipped formica shelving in bathroom an example of standard. Wouldn'd recommend.

Incredible weekend! We were there for the second time and had a very warm welcome from all the hotel stuff, so we will definitely be back.

All the stuff were very friendly and willing to help, the hotel is very beautiful and full of flowers, with the best restaurant in town.

We were here many years ago, following the tour de France (Mr. Lemond and Mr Indurain were accomodated here). It seemed to us - at that time - wonderful. The impression has been confirmed many years after, when we were here just for a couple of days. Lovely!

The price quoted is well below the price we paid. The client before me returned his bill as incorrect twice before agreeing the third bill. Our bill had a number of items we hadn't purchased and was Euros 60 more than it should have been (and this is without the extra charged for the room). Beautiful hotel and location - but we wouldn't recommend it because of these anomalies.

Hôtel très bien situé, à deux pas du centre d'Aix. Cadre sympathique avec un jardin où il fait bon se promener et une jolie piscine intérieure. La cuisine est de qualité. Cependant, la propreté des chambres pourrait être améliorée et une climatisation des chambres ne serait pas superflue. A recommander tout de même.

I have stayed here about 4/5 years ago and following this stay I shall not return. Although my room was excellent in every way, the happy ambiance that I remember so well was totally absent. There appeared to be two areas for dinner and although adjacent their warmth, lighting and setting were polls apart. Dinner was not a particularly pleasant affair and prices were ridiculous - something I feel well qualified to comment upon as in the four previous weeks I had stayed and dined in some good hotels. Breakfast was poor and the room was 'gloom' personified.

A charming hotel with lovely staff and superb food. We look forward to staying there again in the future.

I booked my stay online, and unfortunately when I got there they had no record of our reservations. However, the wonderful front desk staff served us water, found us perfect rooms and honored our internet rates - wonderful!! The rooms were comfortable, bathrooms nice and the pool and grounds beautiful.

Le Manoir was a very nice hotel. The rooms were clean, but on the small size and we didn't have a balcony. The public areas were very pleasant and there was a lovely garden and terrace. The staff were not very friendly, particulary with respect to our child. Overall we had a nice break but thought the hotel was slightly overpriced.

The hotel is on the edge of the town - lovely and quiet, but easy to walk to/from the centre. The restaurant was superb, and the pool was big enough to have a decent swim in, not just paddle. We were in a cheap room, but there was plenty of cupboard space and a safe. The shower wasn't very good, and towels weren't provided for the pool, which was a surprise. I'd stay there again - a great break.

I booked at Le Manoir only because the Parc Hotel was booked, however, I was very pleased and surprised and much preferred the lovely setting and cozy building. The cuisine was great and the staff was very helpful. I also liked the fact that the Therme Spa was a few steps down the road, after a long overnight flight.

Front desk was slightly overwhelmed by a number of people checking in at the same time. However, the staff was friendly an extremely helpful. I was unaware that the hotel was as far out of the downtown area, and as uphill. But I got my exercise versus using the free shuttlebus. The restaurant was superb. The ambiance was just wonderful and the service excellent. The food was also excellent. My room was spacious, clean and quiet. My only negative comment was that pool water was a little cool. Otherwise, I had a thoroughly wonderful time and would highly recommend both the property and the internet reservation service.
