Hotel posizionato lontano dal centro, fuori città, se non avete la macchina lasciate stare. E' anche un po' difficile da trovare ma per il resto buon servizio e ambientazione. Camera degna di un 4 stelle. Anche alla reception sono molto gentili. Per il resto si sforzano di parlare in inglese ma piu di tanto... Si sa, sono francesi..

The good: * The room was clean and maintained for the 5 days we stayed. * We had a top-level (165 Euros) room, so we had a great view of the mountains and the golf course. * Parking was close to the building and free. It was outside parking, but in a safe neighborhood. * It was pretty quiet at night except for the first night when they had a large group in. * Great shower and adequate bath tub. * No vermin. The bad: * Pretty cheesy room. Indoor/outdoor carpet with NO pad under it. Felt like a cement floor. * Internet service not as advertised. They have a screwball system where you have to fill out a form (in a browser) and then it's supposed to be processed and the server is supposed to send access code to your mobile phone. We checked in on Friday and as I write this, it's Monday afternoon. Still not working. Worse yet NO ONE on staff here is willing to make a call to anyone either because it's a weekend or a holiday (today is a French holiday) Apparently, no one in this 180 hotel chain works on weekends. The router is working fine locally, but the server isn't responding. So, all the business I need to do gets done at great trouble downtown in a fast food joint with free (but not too good) wifi. * The food in the hotel restaurant is TERRIBLE! In France, yet. So, we really could't eat in the hotel, which was OK, but we would like to have the option. Breakfast is 12 Euros each (about $35 for 2) and we didn't try it. Except for this hotel, we have had GREAT food every meal in the Aix-en-Provence town and area. I mean really GOOD. This hotel is a great example of “the exception proves the rule”. In Summary: We wouldn't recommend this hotel any friend UNLES he or she really needs to be on a golf course. I'd warn anyone I know away from it because of the plain room, the Internet service, the poor management and the terrible food. The next time we are here, we'll stay in the city.

we had huge problem in looking for the location. Venere.com published a wrong address on their web site. The postal code is completely wrong and and there is no such 'Rue" in the GPS system. We spent 3 hours to find the hotel and the postal code published takes 25 minutes drive away from the TGV station in Aix. It was a terrible experience for a foreigner and I want Venere.com to pay for the night of stay in that hotel.

The hotel itself is very nice but beware that the property is not quite in Aix-en-provence but rather in a nearby business park. It is not easy to get there so get good directions before you go. You can only really stay in this hotel if you are driving. That being said, the hotel itself is very good for the money, having a golf in the premises and all amenities. The rooms are very clean and large and the attention is not bad. It is probably worth the trip from Aix to sleep...

Location directions are very poor. For a start the A7 highway mentioned should be the A8. Basically you just want to get on the D9 direction away from Aix and take Sortie No 4 - Le Golf as shown on the map. Watch out if you put restaurant and bar bills on the room as they don't give you a bill to sign and charged us 46 Euro each just for a simple veal main course. 3 days later it takes a lot of digging and remembering to try and sort it out.

Modern clean hotel with very good hotel resturant. Very helpful staff. Location is not great for touring Aix-n-Provence which is 20 min drive during mid-day or 40 min during rush hour.

The only inferior feature was the hotel restaurant quality. While for dinner the guest, can enjoy lot of options in the surroundings, the only choise for breakfest is the hotel restaurant where the buffet was poor and even the hot plate was cold.

Le cadre de l'hôtel est magnifique, et près du centre d'Aix en provence (10 min en voiture). Par contre, l'accès à l'hôtel est difficile si l'on ne possède pas de GPS. Lionel

Hotel Royal Mirabeau was truly a pleasant surprise! Given the price and the star rating, we only expected something between acceptable and OK... The reception area, the restaurant and bar (especially the outside area), the food, the room, the location and the staff were really good. There were signs guiding us to the hotel at every roundabout from the highway, so it was actually quite easy to find when we managed to turn off the highway at the right exit road (courtesy of GPS...). We strongly recommend this hotel as a base for day-trips around beautiful Provence. But you should have a car available, because at least for us, nothing of interest (except the hotel itself) were really within walking distance.

This hotel is BEAUTIFUL as you walk in the door but is VERY out of the city center. It is in the middle of an industrial area and if you don't have a car, you must pay $20+ to take a taxi to it! So, if you're trying to save $$ by booking a hotel a little out of the city, it really doesn't pay!

Even that I new that the hotel was not a high quality hotel. The service was a desaster. I was for 3 days and air condition was not working any time in my room. It was a nightmare and the hotel didn't provide a solution for any of the days.

Hotel was a little like 'faulty towers'. Pool was out of action, the staff were very friendly but totally incompetent ie seemed both short staffed and under-trained. Young staff didn't have a clue about what they were doing and seemed to hide to avoid being asked a question. We had dinner in the hotel on one evening, which was actually very nice. Considering that this hotel was advertised with golf views etc., they didn't know anything about the surrounding golf courses, ie location, opening times, price or even if we could use them - very strange. Wouldn't return but not an unpleasant stay.

If you travel by car it is not that far away from the center of Aix (15min). Quiet and nice place to stay with competent and helpful staff. Got a great rate for a room with balcony and nice view through venere.com.

El Hotel estaba muy bien, pero se encontraba a las afueras de Aix en Provence, concretamente en Les Milles, por lo que fue muy dificil encontrarlo. Por otro lado, el Hotel nos cobró otro precio (más caro), que el que había reservado. Por lo demás el Hotel está fenomenal.

We enjoyed our stay, however, the hotel is very difficult to find even after 3 days in the area. The directions are poor and the hotel is located on a business park. There are no local restaurants which meant we ate in the hotel. The restaurant was expensive and we felt the food selection and quality was not adequate. The bedroom was good quality, the pool area very quiet and the staff very professional.
